23.01.2022 Dear Swimmers, I have sad news, today will be the last day of the Swim Centre for the season. The City of Burnside are taking proactive and responsible measures to ensure the safety of the community, stakeholders and employees in response to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. This has resulted in the closure of a number of council services. If you are a swim school, multi-visit or 12 mth member, we will soon be sending emails explaining of the situation in more detail. Please feel free to call the Centre 8366 4290 if you'd like any further info. https://www.burnside.sa.gov.au//Council-Service-Delivery-d

06.01.2022 Staff at the George Bolton Swim Centre (GBSC) are taking on the Laps for Life challenge! So if you haven't heard of Laps for Life, this is ReachOuts annual fundrasing swim event. It's a fantastic initiative to support young people experiencing mental health difficulties. 1 in 4 young Australians is currently experiencing a mental health difficulty. But there’s an even bigger problem: 70% of those who need help don’t get it. The GBSC team have set a team goal of swimming over... 2000 laps and raising $2000 for the month of March. If you'd like to help us reach this goal to raise awareness and funds for this great cause please feel free to donate at www.lapsforlife.com.au/fundraisers/burnsidepool If you'd like to find out more about this cause please visit https://au.reachout.com/

03.01.2022 If you'd like to come for a swim, the pool is now open. School's have cancelled their carnivals for this week.

01.01.2022 Due to current COVID-19 restrictions Council has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Christmas Carols in Hazelwood Park, scheduled for Sunday 6 December. The Christmas Carols are a much loved yearly event for friends and families from across the City. Due to its popularity and historically high attendance rates, Council would not be able to ensure that COVID-19 restrictions can be obeyed without a significant change in how the event is managed.... Hosting this event under current social distancing restrictions can only be achieved with a significant cost burden on our ratepayers. Read the full cancellation announcement at www.burnside.sa.gov.au
