25.01.2022 At yesterday's meeting we celebrated some significant member birthdays. From L-R: RUTH, our Vice President and rescue phone angel; EVITA, who is always first to put her hand up when the group needs help; and LIZ, one of our longest serving, ever-enthusiastic macropod carers. And a big thank you to BETTY, our President, for making the absolutely scrumptious kangaroo birthday cake! Happy Birthday ladies, hoping you had a great day!

16.01.2022 This is Nettie, the latest member of the family. She is with her mother Bernie, but Bernie isn't making enough milk for Nettie so she is being supplement fed with 2 bottles a day. She is now putting on weight and is a lot brighter. Such a dear little soul!

13.01.2022 Teamwork is a great thing! Thismorning's rescue of this fellow from Mick's Nursery at Applethorpe went very smoothly thanks to Sally, Michelle and Mack all working together to get him back to a more suitable habitat.

11.01.2022 Australia Day? Koala Day!! It has been here anyway! This fellow was up a hail netting pole in Mick's Nursery in Applethorpe. Lovely big healthy fellow who we took back out to a more agreeable spot! He was pleased to be back!

06.01.2022 Exciting news! Conservationist and WLT member Steve Haslam has completed the predator-proof fence surrounding Quoll HQ, funded by HSI and NSW Biodiversity Conse...rvation Trust. Past bushfires have destroyed huge swaths of spotted-tailed quoll habitat including much of Quoll HQ, but the forest is regenerating steadily and this fence provides a safe refuge for quoll populations to recover from the fires without the threat of predationa vital project for this Endangered species. Quoll HQ is also home to a number of other species that will benefit from this fence, such as koalas, yellow-bellied gliders, greater gliders, glossy black cockatoos, and powerful owls.

02.01.2022 Do you all remember Jeffrey who came in at 245 gms back in August? Just look at him now!! All 2.7kg of him! He is a very special little guy!
