24.01.2022 This movie showcases a method developed by the team at Hagedesign in Norway for presenting detailed views of parts of a larger design. A series of overlapping rectangles tied to zone were established in modelspace and linked to layout views; some at a scale of 1:25 and some at a scale of 1:100. The SmartLabel tool was also used to label and count groups of symbols of the same species for a less cluttered presentation.

23.01.2022 As an aid to help clients identify species in a design, we use the SmartLabel tool and apply a 4 letter code to individual species symbols. The label is drawn in red with with a modified leader command that picks up the code from an attached plant database file. In this way, any symbol can be easily identified by referring to a custom plant schedule that's automatically. Using this approach allows great flexibility in the placement of the label and minimizes the amount of text used in the design.
