Therefore, we will disable computers as we see fit. - To plan your visit, we have now a website that will show you almost live view of how many computers are available and where. Please visit http://gcastle.net. - Due to COVID-19 track & trace policies implemented by the government, we will require to sight your ID if we dont have your details. We also need to collect your address and phone number. This will solely be used when QLD Health requests to see the log. Thank you!

21.01.2022 Hi Everyone, We will reopen 8am tomorrow (12th Jan). The following rules apply to adhere to new QLD Health directives:... - You must wear a mask in indoor spaces. If you are not wearing a mask, you will be asked to leave. - You must sit from the edge of each row. - You must leave one station empty adjacent to yourself from a stranger. If you come in as a group, you still are allowed to sit next to each other. - Other COVID-19 procedures still apply. Your membership needs to be verified with a photo ID and a working phone number. We mean no offence when we ask you the following things! So please be kind and cooperative!

17.01.2022 Good evening Gamers, Following todays announcement from the state government, we are working extremely hard to reopen earlier than we planned. We plan to reopen on 6th July, Monday at 9am. However, this may be subject to change. We will reaffirm this on the day before at 9pm. ... A few things to note: - There are no surcharges on payWave, PayPass or cards payments anymore. - 1.5m social distancing rule still applies, except if you are in the same group. (this has been updated as per the advice from 1st July) - You wont able to log-in freely until you sign the entry/exit register at the counter (required by the legislation) - Due to the current legislation - even non-members need to have a valid ID to use our facility. - New keyboards havent arrived yet. They expect to arrive sometime next week. - As we operate with the limited capacity, we are trying our best to implement available computer tracking system. 17.01.2022 Dear G-Castle Customers, As you may know, the premise of G-Castle Internet Cafe is quite old. Sometime in 2020, we are currently considering renovating everything. This will include changing the structure of the premise to fit more computers, new flooring, desks, walls, paint, offer snacks etc. This will involve closing the store for 3-5 weeks.... This is such a big call for us and potentially the biggest and the riskiest business move we will be taking. For this reason, I would like to run a survey to get your feedback which we highly value. If you could cast a vote and leave an additional comment, that will be highly appreciated. How would you feel about the renovation?

15.01.2022 - As EA and Valve are now in good terms, all EA games that used to be only available on Origin are now on Steam. Hence, you are able to play Apex Legends on Steam. The good news is that you can transfer all your progress and achievements on Origin's Apex Legends to Steam.... G-Castle will likely to ditch Origin in the future so make a transfer and enjoy playing it on Steam! - Couple of people have informed us about the poor latency of playing Genshin Impact at G-Castle. This is beyond our control as the latency gets determined by the routing from the end-server and our ISP. However, it is possible to bring the ping down to 130-160ms by using MUDFISH VPN which we have preinstalled. Please comment if you would like us to make a guide on how-to use it! -

10.01.2022 [TLDR: Before the renovation, there were reasons beyond our control which led people to think G-Castle is dirty due to bad smell. We had issues with the termite, water leakage, plumbing, rotten wood under the flooring. Now we are renovated, the issue with the smell has been fully resolved. 09.01.2022 Dear Valued G-Castle Customers, Although we are still in the early stage of planning, we thought wed share an early snippet of whats currently happening with G-Castle. We will be renovating the entire venue early this year. This will include changing of the floor, paint, interior design and more computer stations.... It is likely that the business will temporary close in the future. Once we have all the details, we will provide plenty of notice before doing so. As you may have noticed, our premise is extremely old. Original founders of G-Castle set up in 2008. And, I think its time to reboot. We are currently getting concept designs being drawn and talking with vendors with timelines etc. When we are able to reveal more, we surely will let you know! 08.01.2022 Dear G-Castle Customers, The government just made an announcement that to keep us safe from getting COVID-19, strict rules will apply to the business especially with social distancing. We honestly do not know how we are feeling right now. We have never shut our doors for the past 7 years, 24 hours - 365 days. A gaming place never shuts was our icon and our small wish to be able to provide safe gaming place 24/7.... From 8am tomorrow, we wont be able to serve any customers. We are sorry. We had so much that we planned for this year, the renovation was about to happen in June with all new interior design and better PCs. But, unfortunately, everything will halt for now. This isnt a permanent closure. Once COVID-19 fucks right off, we will come back. But, we just dont know when. Please stay safe everyone. Until we meet again.

05.01.2022 Good afternoon Customers, Thought wed write a new post about the planned upgrade and a bad news. 1) We will be upgrading all mouse to Logitech G402 in the next couple of days. Logitech G502 has lasted us well for the past two years however some buttons are being worn out and we thought it would be a good time to change.... 2) We have a pest control service coming in next Thursday from 7am. While we do not believe it will disturb your normal usage, you may be asked to pull your chair back or move to a different computer. So we are open this long weekend! - However, there is a planned power outage for the building between 4am - 6am next Wednesday. So we will have to close during that time. But, we will open at 7am provided I don't sleep in.... - To encourage people to come in on Tuesday night, we will have special pricing on 6th Oct (Tuesday) between 8pm - 3am where you are able to use our computer at the rate of $1.50 an hour. - The special pricing does not go on your account and therefore is not accumulated or saved.
