25.01.2022 Guess what the Pastors got up to over the weekend in Hervey Bay? We danced, jumped, laughed, and ate during two days of 12 hour training for our roles! Yes it was exhausting but it has equipped us in so many ways and we are excited to start putting it into practise at school...

24.01.2022 Do you have some free time to fill? Malyon Bible College in Brisbane is offering a free 4-week course looking into the Gospels from a different perspective! I'd highly recommend Denise as a lecturer having studied under her and love how she gets you thinking like you never have before! https://www.malyon.edu.au//free-4-week-online-course-look/

23.01.2022 Community is looking really different these days at school! But we are still a community! In the days of the early church for very different reasons, they had to leave cities, hide and sometimes isolate themselves to stay safe from persecution. But they were still a community of God's people. And in fact, because they scattered themselves the good news Of Jesus Christ spread around the world. What positives are you seeing as a result of our unusual times?

22.01.2022 The Pastors had a great photoshoot with Mrs Johnson yesterday getting some great shots for the school website. We are also making changes to our Facebook presence, closing this page and joining the school's Facebook page instead next term. We will keep posting and sharing so make sure you follow Glasshouse Christian College page.

21.01.2022 Share My Story is this terms theme for Generate- our senior Faith Space. Every week a staff member shares their life and faith story for 20 mins then students ask anything about it for 20 mins. It's been incredible to learn more about some teachers lives and to have great q and a afterwards.

21.01.2022 One very happy student receiving her prize for winning our chapel challenge. Caitlin got pizza delivered to her house by our very own Pastors Syd and Donna. Every week we are giving our students ways to connect with their communities through chapel challenges. They have done things like write letters to front-line workers, video chat their grandparents and random acts of kindness. We are so proud of the way that our students have been rising to the challenge.

20.01.2022 HI everyone, with the holidays looking a bit different than usual and with more time on your hands why not consider some bible study at Moore College? $25 for a course is crazy cheap and it is a very respected Bible College. Something extra for your CV and something to help you grow in your understanding and walk with God.

17.01.2022 My Lighthouse song for week 7 Chapel

17.01.2022 Check out this Eternity article by a very insightful 16 year old. What do you think? https://www.eternitynews.com.au//do-i-just-believe-in-je/

16.01.2022 Whilst our Faith Captains led and spoke at Chapel, Pastor Fi and Mr Curtis attended the annual Captains Ecumenical Service with our Middle and Senior School captains. It is encouraging to see our Christian school is one of many shining God's light into their students lives and their community.

16.01.2022 I know some of our staff and parents have had babies this year, so this is an opportunity for you to bless your little one. I registered my granddaughter 3 years ago and her toddler bible is one of her favourite books! She loves the giant story best! I do too, how great to know that when God is on our side nothing can ultimately beat us down!

16.01.2022 You are probably busy buying and wrapping gifts, but I hope you stop to focus on the real gift of Christmas

15.01.2022 The Pastors and Faith team were pumped to welcome everyone back to school today! We hope you are having a great week seeing your friends and teachers again. We really did miss you!

15.01.2022 Merry Christmas from the Pastors! May you know the same love, joy and peace that Jesus brought into the world that very first Christmas. Romans 15:13, NIV: "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

14.01.2022 Every year we usually get to attend the Bible Society's Masterclass. It is unlikely that will happen this year :( so check out this resource from past years. Some great biblical answers to questions submitted by students. https://www.biblesociety.org.au//05/MaterQ-videos-flyer.pdf

13.01.2022 Why not consider beginning to read the book of Luke starting from today and we will grow in our understanding of how much God loves us by giving us the perfect Christmas gift - Jesus

13.01.2022 Hey everyone, welcome back to Term 2! We hope you had a great break. School will look a bit different but it is business as usual for the Pastors whether live or zoom. In Secondary we are running morning messages every day that your teacher can access to show you. We are focussing on Faith Rhythms, checking our one rhythm [or routine] a week looking at a different aspect every day. All of our groups are still running by zoom and this term there are shorter weekly Chapels in Secondary so we are excited to have that opportunity to share some thoughts with you. Have a blessed day!

12.01.2022 What a busy fun end to the school year! On the Fri as staff cleared their desks and got ready for the staff Christmas Party we said farewell to some staff who are moving on to new adventures. Pastor Rob will be moving on next year to another role and we wish him all the best and that God continues to bless him and his family as he continues to serve God in other ways. Rob will be fondly remembered at GCC by so many for his big heart, prayerful attitude and encouraging words to so many. Bless you Rob

11.01.2022 With so much happening online and virtually, check out this list which includes Kid friendly apps. Apps for the Bible, bible movies, prayer and just for fun! https://disciplr.com/world-map-christian-apps

11.01.2022 As the new year begins, do you look forward to the new beginning or does it feel like the same old same old? God offers us new beginnings and a new life at any time in the year. It's up to us to choose that new life or keep going with the same old, same old. I pray this year is the year you reach out to God for a new life in Jesus Christ. Paul's words in 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" offer hope for a new life and new future.

10.01.2022 What a privelage and gift it is to serve our community and shine God’s love to them at this time of the year. These girls did a sensational job loving and listening to everyone at Glasshouse Views and Lavalley House. Let’s all celebrate Gods love to us by enjoying the greatest gift of Joy - Jesus

08.01.2022 School may look a little different, but thank God for Zoom! In the primary it has been wonderful to check in with all students, whether at home or school, every morning with their classes. We pray all families would still feel a sense of community as we connect in new ways

08.01.2022 Another day another opportunity to bless our amazing students who have been contributing to our community through our Chapel Challenges. A dozen Crispy Cremes. It sure was tempting not to eat a few on the way to her house!

08.01.2022 Check out what's happening for Secondary Students with the Pastors and their Lifehouse! We'd encourage you especially if you are at home, to check to the Zoom groups so you get to hang with other students and be encouraged. We will one day be on the other side but for now stay positive, look out for each other and trust that God can bring good out of this time. Bless ya!

08.01.2022 In the September holidays we took a team of Yr5-6 students to KIDSFEST - a day filled with extreme rides, fun activities, praise and worship and a message. The kids Pastor Dan Buckle made an oath that he would buy chicken nuggets to the largest group that came. This Wednesday just gone, Dan and his team came to GCC and joined us for Chapel, bringing way to many nuggets, as we celebrated good times! It was a great time together seeing kids connect with Godly role models.... To God be the glory

08.01.2022 What strange times we are living in as our government responds with even stricter measures to halt the virus. But what is God's response? Grab a coffee and a seat, listen in and be encouraged! https://youtu.be/k5jEGQCrljg

07.01.2022 I will definitely be checking in with Colin this Thursday evening. many people think of him as a kids entertainer but I love his heartfelt folk style songs about people, life and faith. Perhaps like me you will light your own fire and sing along!

06.01.2022 Last week Pastor Joc and Josh went away for an evening with our Primary Leaders to pray for this year. Friendship and Family were two key themes these students decided to pursue this year. We look forward to seeing how God moves and what unfolds together at GCC, 2020!

06.01.2022 WHAT A JOY TO HAVE EVERYONE BACK. Here is a short highlight reel from Monday :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzd6z0Wt9_Q

05.01.2022 A wonderful last day of the year saying goodbye to some of our primary children! The best is yet to come

04.01.2022 Welcome back everyone! It was great to see familiar faces and some new ones this week as everyone [including staff] get back into the groove of school. There's new timetables, new classrooms and a new Pastor, Pastor Syd so make sure you say Hi and welcome him to GCC community. We also have a new College Bible verse which we will unpack as the term goes on. We hope you have a great first week back and pray that 2020 is a blessed year for you all.

04.01.2022 Year 12 leaders retreat was short but we packed sooo much into it! 16 students and staff stayed at Alex Park Conference Centre which was amazing. We planned hard and played hard as you can see! 2020 promises to be a great year for GCC with a "People Over Projects" focus on relationships.

04.01.2022 I am sure like me you may have more time on your hands as there are still lots of social things we cannot do yet. Why not take some time to get into God's word deeply. Here is a method we shared with secondary students recently. I hope you find it helpful. Let us know what you are currently reading in God's word?

04.01.2022 With our students back on board, Nine Life started up with Pastor Fi and Pastor Donna. This group focuses on growing to be the women God created us to be by equipping us with life skills. Donna and I have loved hearing the wisdom from these young ladies as they explore the topics.

04.01.2022 First Chapel in the Books for Secondary! Here's a reminder to Walk By The Spirit + some snapshots of today.

02.01.2022 It has been great to hear from so many year 12's since they finished school and to hear what they are moving onto. Congrats on your op results! Here are a few snaps taken the day of graduation as they prepped in the Pastors rooms! A moment of excitement and fear as they end their school days! May God continue to bless you and guide you in the years ahead. Stay in touch guys and let us know how you are travelling x
