16.01.2022 Having completed his Bachelor of Architecture Degree at UNSW, Nathan Wu decided to take a gap year to see how his passion for architecture could be applied in the real world. Always keen to learn and apply himself, Nathan joined GCCV in September 2018 and has since assisted in a number of site investigations, understanding planning controls, preparing site context models and shadow studies, and various peer review reports under the guideline of team leaders. One of the most n...otable role since joining our team is Nathans contribution to "The Macquarie" project in Liverpool - a 31 storey multi-residential tower that GCCV designed for Kingdom Developments Australia Pty Ltd. On this project, Nathan worked closely with the marketing team led by Belle Property Surry Hills and assisted with the marketing and pre-sales material, including building 3D models for the model makers and perspective artists and the documentation of the marketing suite. 03.01.2022 FAQs WHO ARE WE? GCCV is an emerging architectural practice, focused on office, hotel and multi-residential projects. Our team is passionate about what we do and brings together over 100 years of combined experience in commercial architecture.... WHAT DOES CV STAND FOR? We believe that architects offer 2 things: "Creative Visions" (the art in architecture) + "Creating Value" (what the client gets). By balancing these two aspects, we believe our clients and end users get the best of both worlds. HOW DO WE DO THIS? Our team has been trained on the principle: "Form Follows Function". We understand that by getting "functionality" right in the first place, the architectural "form" will come together effectively and efficiently for our clients. WHAT SETS US APART? Our core team has had unique training and experience gained in our previous role as in-house architects for LendLease. Through our previous involvement in a number of major projects in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, we understand the importance of collaboration, coordination, compliance, efficiencies (structure / carparking) and safety in design. Our insight in these aspects of architecture gives our clients the best results in time, quality & budget. WHAT ARE OUR SERVICES? Ranging from peer reviews / feasibility studies all the way to traditional design & documentation across the 3 sectors that we are good at.
