16.01.2022 Meet Teddy! If you move, sparkle, make noise, smell or just "be" - Teddy is going to investigate you and bark at you... Well he used to anyway. We have had 4 sessions now and his family have seen a dramatic reduction in his reactivity. We are ready for our next 4 sessions to really get him on the right track - - - #gcdogtraining #goldcoast #dogtraining #dogreactivity #dogsofthegoldcoast

12.01.2022 Meet Rosie the Beaglier She's a bit cute! She's also a bit used to using her own tool kit to get what she wants... Tools include jumping, barking, scratching, counter surfing... We had the first session and got her offering orientation to a few mats where she found success at sitting and looking. She tried to use her barking to protest the reduced flow of reinforcement - but that just got her out outside. A few rounds of that and she was sitting quietly and calmly. - -... - #gcdogtraining #goldcoast #beagliersofinstagram #dogtraining #dogobedience See more

08.01.2022 Meet Cedric, this is a throwback from our first #gcdtpuppyclass where this little Spaniel x Mini Poodle basically nailed all of his first behaviours. His mum and dad have since been progressing his sessions and he is now well on the way to scent detection and can identify specific scents on the fly! - - - #gcdogtraining #gcdtpuppyclassgrad #gcdogtrainingtribe #goldcoast #cedricdiggory

07.01.2022 Meet Neco, he is a 10 month old Tibetan Spaniel that has had a bit of a confusing time when he was developing separation anxiety - but also had a loosely fitted bark collar to try to reduce the crying - leading to one nervous and scared pup. Even his collar is now a stimuli that puts him at threshold resulting in fear. We addressed all of these issues and made a plan to work on the separation anxiety in a way that will help not hinder. It's important to note that there are no... quick fixes and getting a proper diagnosis of the issue is the first step! - - - #gcdogtraining #goldcoast #dogsofthegoldcoast #dogtraining #gcdtpuppytraining See more

04.01.2022 Meet this beautiful puppy Levi! He has a reactive dog in the family and needs some specific help with choosing behaviours that are non reactive. He spends a lot of time around a reactive dog. We have implemented a plan that is family intensive. And specific to reducing reactivity to behaviour that would usually call for attention. This is a tough one! But his family is already getting great success with reducing the long term dogs reactivity to known antagonists. - -... - #gcdogtraining #gcdtpuppytraining #goldcoast #reactivedogs #dogtraining See more

02.01.2022 Meet Calvin the pug x cavalier He is 9 weeks old and full of all the pug like beans, with the swagger of a cavalier. Apparently he is a food machine, that loves to pee and poo inside and scream the house down!!! Our first session had his family in awe that he could sit and choose to be calm instead of jumping, barking and biting. Thank goodness for dog training.... He is now on his way to settling into his new family successfully. - - - #gcdtpuppytraining #gcdogtraining #goldcoast #goldcoastpugs #goldcoastcavaliers
