24.01.2022 After significant weather events, such as the heavy rain over the weekend, moisture and dampness can provide ripe conditions for mould to develop. To avoid mould growth following damp conditions, turning on fans and opening doors/windows (when the relative humidity is below 60%) can help. For more significant water events, it is critical to intervene immediately. We recommend seeking advice from an AIOH qualified Hygienist, or engaging an IICRC/RIA trained Restorer.... 18.01.2022 The Western Australian Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety yesterday announced changes to the workplace exposure standards for respirable crystalline silica and respirable coal dust. The standard (dated 27 October 2020) states, effective immediately, employers must ensure that the workplace exposure standard for respirable crystalline silica does not exceed 0.05 milligrams per cubic metre (eight-hour time-weighted average). Effective from 27 October 2021, employers must ensure the workplace exposure standard for respirable coal dust does not exceed 1.5 milligrams per cubic metre (eight-hour time-weighted average).

09.01.2022 GCG is proud to support the safe delivery of Cross River Rail through the provision of occupational hygiene services. The Cross River Rail project includes the delivery of a new rail line under the Brisbane River and CBD, and the construction of new high-capacity underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street, Roma Street and a new aboveground station at exhibition. The project also includes three new stations on the Gold Coast and six station upgrades between Fairfield to Salisbury.
