25.01.2022 Ted, a little Thoroughbred, who will hopefully hit the race track for his owners one day, what a handsome young man! I was told he has two names -Teddy bear & -shit head Ted! And boy have I seen both sides ... Hes a character, and is a typical teenager! He got his unique markings from his Sire profile in style whos a coloured and registered thoroughbred stallion.

25.01.2022 Little 2yo filly by Holler graduates, she’s now off to Ardoch racing to spend some time on course at Hamilton. Sadly I can no longer travel to the track at mount gambier to expose my breakers, so I’m lucky to have Jessie to keep them on track at Hamilton, to put the finishing touches on for me! Jessie comes highly recommend by me for any type of race horse education including training

25.01.2022 This might not look much to some, but big Clive here has one of the worst case of loading issues that we have had come through the gates, and frankly, ever seen! To be fair he has a bad accident in a float as a foal, and another loading onto a transport truck, resulting in a horrible leg injury. He has now physically come good, but mentally still needs some work. The float is one step, he is going to a trainer where he needs to be able to load on the truck baby steps...

25.01.2022 When your own breaker is the naughtiest you have had in for a while, he chucked numerous tantrums after not wanting to do what he was told, but he finished off beautifully. This guy is the youngest of 3 foals I bred out of my best childhood mare Roary she was electric to ride, and a bit naughty but very talented! Her first two foals were born broken in, both very quiet and plodders, but this bloke has definitely taken after his mother not in looks but definitely in personality, Roary lives on!

24.01.2022 Resident Lead pony, and all round legend Frosty, has had a big few days... For anyone interested in the Tv series JumpOff, frosty will be having a crack at qualifying in a few short weeks! Keep an eye out for Quiet Ale in the recently retired race horse section!

24.01.2022 Popeye! The crazy colt I have loved this blokes temperament from the moment he arrived, he did however have a huge issue putting the bridle on, didnt mind you petting his ears, just a phobia of the bridle going over his ears! While he is still not perfect hes making huge improvements every day! Such a relaxed customer about everything!

23.01.2022 While Im away more than Im home at the moment working with Forrest fire management (FFM) this is one of the two little breakers I have on the go in my rare days off. Looking forward to the end of these bush fires so I can get home and back into the swing of things, but I must thank you all for your patience, you have all been very understanding. Grace

23.01.2022 This is little Stella... stella has a condition called lordosis (sway back) and so far I havent been able to find a saddle to suit her 100%, shes here getting broken in, so this is ride number 2, and bareback! Dont laugh at me vaulting on, I havent done that for years but what a patient girl!

23.01.2022 How sweet is our newest breaker Beautiful warmblood mare, Im smitten!

23.01.2022 Not a lot of time for social media of late! But yes we are still operating! My off the track rehoming business second chance horses is taking up majority of our time, but yes we are definitely still breaking in, and looking to expand to offer pre training in the new year We have a few upgrades that are in progress or planned for the new year! Then look out! Pictured are two of our current breakers having first rides, Bonnie and Tonto both unknown breeding but both lovely little horses! Both rescues by two different owners, what diamonds in the rough both of them!

22.01.2022 Chikka has been here for a one week refresher almost two years after being broken in! I have had a blast! And it’s time for him to start the lookout for a human who may want to play with him for a while. Free lease/ to buy

22.01.2022 Things starting to look a little different around here! Still not finished but all our yards have been well rested and re fenced! Come 30th of June, we are 100% back into the swing of things. Until then we are fully booked out, with a waiting list But your still welcome to book in for after the 30th!

22.01.2022 Little Clementine, two weeks down, now off to have some miles put on by a child

21.01.2022 Beautiful 2yo Filly, by Holler having her first ride, really nice filly this one, excited to follow her career.

21.01.2022 Little Tia, shes getting real tired of me the umbrella came in handy with the weather over the weekend!

21.01.2022 The very handsome QT, having his first sit... This bloke has been a little more complicated then most, but not a problem with someone on his back! Onwards and upwards from here

20.01.2022 Our current breaker Dora Pictured, with our young pilot Oscar, having her first ride in the track pad, this was also Oscars first ride in a track saddle as well! Both looked after each other so well. 2yo by Lucas Cranach

20.01.2022 Our two newest arrivals! Both magnificent looking ladies! (And just a hint, I think they owners could almost be convinced to sell these lovely ladies), they are both very loved, but owners are getting older and being realistic about the number of horses they need! The little appy girl is the only foal from my stallion (now gelded) nitro and she is an absolute spitting image of nitros mum! And if shes anything like her dad you onto a winner!

18.01.2022 Wash your hands people

17.01.2022 Clients breaker Dora almost ready to head to the next stage of her career! First time Dora worked with another horse, she showed pretty dramatic signs of being horse shy! Now shes being the lead pony herself, and out and about!

17.01.2022 Two little breakers in at the moment, Tiger & Bonnie, both hopefully going to make ripper little race horses

17.01.2022 Qualified for jump off on Saturday, back to work Wednesday for resident lead pony frosty! Pictured taking Leps for his first leading lesson

17.01.2022 Baby Rose, Rose is one of our current breakers who is only getting worked on every other day, and what an absolute pleasure she is! On a side note, if anyone follows this page from Heywood vic and is in a position to show her wonderful owner (whos not tech savvy) this video, I know she will be very appreciative! Inbox me and we can work something out I will post another video showing how well this well this little pocket rocket goes over some jumps

17.01.2022 Sometimes riding the breakers back to the paddock is just easier

16.01.2022 Q: Whats the number 1 problem I have in my job? A: Giving all these amazing horses back! Morgana, 4 weeks will be up this weekend and she will be heading home to her very excited owner, shes been an absolute pleasure and a character at the same time! ... I have never had a very high opinion of the warmbloods before, always being a thoroughbred person, however Morgana here might be pulling me to the dark side just a little

16.01.2022 When your trying to work with young horses and this comes rolling on in! Lucky they both handled it very well! It’s very loud Under a tin roof with this screaming down on you!

15.01.2022 The coolest colt around, After removing the ball from its cover, played until he saw me watching, then requests pats! Such a people pony!

14.01.2022 Current breaker Tia first time with the racquet, and dogs coming along nicely and also quickly for her owners.

13.01.2022 Miss Nika! I tell myself never get attached to clients horses but this girl is something very special, not only is she stunningly beautiful, she has got one of the best brains on her I have come across, so smart and such a fast learner. Before you ask, no shes not for sale, I already tried

12.01.2022 On the left Taksim Girl final day of breaking 13th of October 2018 ... already a race winner on the track On the right her full brother, having his first ride on the day his big sister is racing at Penola! So far its like Im working on the same horse! They are so similar! I hope this boy has the same ability as his big sister!

10.01.2022 Two breakers, Gracie and pally (unsure of pallys real name ) Had their final rides today before heading home tomorrow, they have been great fun, went bush bashing and jumping for their final ride to put to test everything they have learned in their time here. Hopefully they continue to improve for their lovely owners and are everything they hoped for.

10.01.2022 With being a dirty Victorian, I’m sadly not aloud to take horses to the track across the border, so have to make do with what I have, these two little guys are ready to head home for a well earned spell, they will come back for a refresher hopefully when the borders are open again and will go to the track then you have been a pleasure Tiger and Bonnie, hopefully you both grow into little superstars!

09.01.2022 Sorry everyone, I have been a bit quiet on this page of late, we are still ticking along, due to a few minor dramas here we are taking a little longer to get through our current list of breakers, and my estimations to get the next lot done may be a little delayed, however, have no fear we will get them done! I (Grace) am currently working on my own, so its a little harder then normal, but Im getting there, I wont rush any breakers just to get them done. Being on my own also means a lack of photo updates for our owners, but fingers crossed towards a he end of next week I may have a full time photographer on my hands Picture of Tiger, one of our current rascals getting broken in

09.01.2022 Its been crazy hectic here for weeks now! We are absolutely full to the brim with breakers at the moment, but have a few only doing short stays for the basics! So have a few coming and going before we even know whats happening! Im really appreciating everyones loyal support, I never believed when we started doing this we would be booked out almost all the time! I have horses booked in to be broken that have only just this season been born! Most of my clients know but for... those who dont, I actually work as a firefighter over the worst of the fire season, and this year I really had to decide wether I go back or not, due to such a high demand for horses to be worked, however I find its a great break for me mentally and it forces me to socialise with Humans instead of spending day in day out working with horses. This year I will be still working with a small number of horses while Im back at work, before and after hours just to try and get through the back log of bookings. Again thank you for the ongoing support, and everyone who has put our name out there, its certainly spread far and wide! Pictured is one of my new arrivals and absolute darling Buddy And please dont hesitate to contact me if your looking for horses to be worked, I always try to accommodate if I can, or if that fails I have fantastic connections who I can and do recommend! Casterton certainly has some talented horses breakers in the area, and I wouldnt hesitate in recommending any of them! Grace.

09.01.2022 Today my two interests met, breaking in horses and rehoming retired thoroughbreds... not in the normal way you would expect, here I am pictured riding breaker buddy and leading recently retired TB Scroll Very proud of this little breaker, this is his first ride out of the round yard or arena, he would make a ripper lead pony, but thats not where his future is but hes going to make his owner very happy, hes just a wonderful little horse!

08.01.2022 A couple of clients horses pictured having their first rides. Dusty= chestnut, and leps a couple of lovely colts.

08.01.2022 While the riders away dads still available for ground work, including leg training and problem float loading. Im on holidays

06.01.2022 Flat work, in the track pad, I will be feeling my thighs tomorrow

06.01.2022 We had the pleasure of doing the basics on Tilly here, look at her now, off and away with her tiny jockey! And yes she has to be ridden in a track work saddle as she’s way too wide for a normal saddle We affectionately named her miss Piggy while she was here with us!

05.01.2022 A very handsome colt has just arrived Pop eye is here to be broken in! So much personality!

04.01.2022 I may be pretty quiet on here, but we are definitely still full steam ahead! Some of our current breakers pictured below, all at very different stages, and some very different types, Kids pony, future dressage star, and hopefully some future stars on the race tracks as well! I think you can work out which ones are which

03.01.2022 Baby Rose having a crack at some show jumps! What a fantastic little pony shes going to be! Owner Anne Ralph.

02.01.2022 With being a dirty Victorian, Im sadly not aloud to take horses to the track across the border, so have to make do with what I have, these two little guys are ready to head home for a well earned spell, they will come back for a refresher hopefully when the borders are open again and will go to the track then you have been a pleasure Tiger and Bonnie, hopefully you both grow into little superstars!

01.01.2022 Today Tonto had his off property experience, to say he exceeded my expectations would be an understatement! Really enjoying this little horse! This is roughly ride 7! Can you really call this work? This ride had 3 very sensible retired racehorses out with us to keep Tonto feeling safe! Including a 4yo, who was pulled out of the paddock just for this ride impressed with everyone today! But baby Tonto you got a gold star that’s for sure!

01.01.2022 Maggie Maggie has bee started under saddle but very limited, so I got the job to finish her off, I started from scratch again, but shes come along very quickly, she has been an absolute pleasure.

01.01.2022 Little Atomic gelding coming along perfectly, first time in the track pad. A few more weeks and he will be heading home to have a well earned holiday! Really enjoy riding this little horse.

01.01.2022 As most of you are aware, in the early hours when most are sleeping, our family home, where dad lives and where we run majority of our breaking operations out of sadly burnt to the ground. Yes its devastating, however, it was only the house it never spread to neighbouring sheds or paddocks. So all our horses and facilities are still good! While we may just take a bit of time to get on our feet again, we will still continue to break in horses, we will finish the current on...es we have in, then might take a few weeks to have a break and get sorted. Dad is fine, he got out in time with an armful of clothes, but turned out most are fire affected anyway. We have had amazing support from everyone, and he has the perfect home to move into until he can rebuild. So we thank everyone for all your patience and support! Grace & Peter.
