From a health and safety point of view, this place is on point It's clean, sterile and their point of contact processes during your visit is kept in check. And, that's just for us. To ensure the safety of the fish, they are also well looked after in c...lean tanks and given regular breaks and of course proper fish food in addition to all the deliciousness from our feet Check out the video in the highlights on Insta for more information about this amazing experience! There is a wide range of benefits of fish exfoliation which could include: stimulates blood flow, improves circulation, removes bacteria, reduces foot odour, benefits people with psoriasis and eczema + the list goes on... Other benefits believed to be associated with fish spa results include: stimulates acupressure points, helps to regulate/balance the nervous system, relaxes the body and releases fatigue. It's an exhilarating experience. It does feel a little ticklish, but it's such a gentle feeling it's quite soothing. After my session, I was cleaned off, dried and my feet felt oh so smooth! 13.01.2022 Last Friday we checked out The Avenue located in Orchid Avenue, Visit Surfers Paradise . It's had some BIG changes since it moved from its original location across the street, but the owner Michael’s vision is going strong with an incredible venue. Daily specials and promotions including BarraMonday night (get it) $12 and you get to have a bit of Karaoke. From Comedy standup to the now famous Dragalicious show, there is something for everyone EVERY NIGHT...! We missed out on the evening entertainment unfortunately, but the lunch was definitely worth it with a chance to explore all areas of the surprisingly large space. Something a little unknown is their function space available for hens or even workshops during the day. The Viking Salad, definitely the highlight of the day, in fact the week!!! Congrats to Michael and his team on creating a welcoming space to support local artists and the creative community. 13.01.2022 On the weekend we ventured to the little suburb of Chirn Park, just north of Southport to check out the new spring menu at Tonic on Chirn . Fitted out like a industrial New York loft, Tonic on Chirn has a wide range of share plates and cocktails catering for everyone (GF, Vegetarian, Vegan). Their amazing host Jo was a delight and provided unbelievable customer service suggesting cocktails based on our taste preferences, both opting for a rum and was extremely welcoming, info...rmative and helpful. With 12 small plates on the menu to choose from, we opted with the calamari (light and flavourful), camembert (a total mouth-gasm), sage & walnut meatballs (hearty and fresh) and braised pork belly (moist and sweet). All of them were bloody tasty but, the highlight would have to be the honey baked camembert with toasted turkish - this dish is not only scrumptious as a share plate but would make for an awesome dessert in lieu of your cheese platter or brownie. Paired with sparkling water and a few of their new cocktails - Crime of Passion Mojito was a summer delight and the Mint Condition Espresso Martini was an unexpected surprise with the hint of mint. In addition to the 14 pages of creative and delicious cocktails - we were pleasantly surprised to discover that one of their specialised cocktails Eye of the Tiger takes about 1 week to prepare for as it’s made out of bacon fat!! Yes you read that right, bacon fat - and can we just say... it’s bloody delicious Plenty of FREE parking available, Covid 19 plan in place, it’s time for you to get in to Tonic on Chirn to see what all the fuss is about.

09.01.2022 I had the pleasure of having a staycation at Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa last year and it honestly felt like I was away at a tropical location - have you seen their pool?! Undergoing a major renovation, the resort will be rebranded in December to JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa which will be the flagship venue in Australia. Stay tuned for some exciting changes and updates to come with the in venue restaurants and bars

We wanted to showcase these guys first as for the past 3 years or so, this place has become our local and these guys, Our friends. @mrbrownstuckshop offers a delicious range of coffee, brekkie and lunch and were even voted in the top 10 breakfasts on the #GoldCoast More than just bacon and eggs these guys make a mean Korean fried chicken waffles and their pumpkin pie is to die for! So much more than Mexican, @ladiosamexicana_gc located in @circle_on_cavill is a fusion of Lebanese and Mexican. Perfect for sharing (although all the food is so incredible, that could be a challenge) you can enjoy a tasty twist on the traditional including $3 taco Tuesdays!! While you’re there make sure you enjoy the bowl (I mean glass) of Sangria @ La Diosa Mexicana
