19.01.2022 Well done to Tye today stopping his opponent in the 3rd round. Wasn’t 100% today but he still pushed through and was all heart on the way to a win. Also well done to Coach Connie who looked after Tye today. It’s good to know I have great coaches who can jump in when needed.

19.01.2022 Can be a tough gig this coaching but days like today make it good. The kids won 5 from 5 in some good fights. Dallas had his first fight in over a year and boxed well against a kid up north. Good distance and punch selection, needs more work with southpaws but got the job done. ... Ryder had his first fight and boxed a tall awkward kid who was very up and down. The fight got the crowd going and Ryder let the kid back into the fight in the last round but come away with a good tough win. Jax had another great fight against a good kid from a very good gym. Both these boys bring out the best in each other Jax come away with a hard fought win. Tye fought a taller kid who was very slippery. Hard to hit but Tye found a way and Kiahns opponent come out very hard but once Kiahn settled he started scoring and improved from his fight 2 weeks ago. Well done team wether you win or lose us coaches are always proud of you. You’re a great bunch of kids and I enjoy the journey we are on, the ups and the downs

19.01.2022 Day 2 at state titles and we come away with 5 state champions. Jax 46kg U15 State Champion Kiahn 50kg U13 State Champion Marley 50kg U15 State Champion ... Tye 52kg Junior State Champion Dallas 57kg U15 State Champion Tye fought in a challenge bout against the 50kg State champion and lost a 3-2 in a tough fight. His opponent really made it a fight and Tye struggled a little. Congratulations to his opponent Zac and we have plenty to work on for the new year. Well done Tye taking out his 2nd state title Dallas opponent pulled out this week and Dallas took his 4th State title. Dallas was looking forward to his fight but that’s boxing. He will be old enough to go to Aussies next year so eyes on the next goal Kiahn had a walk over and took out his 2nd state title. He was challenged by the 48kg State champion and won a good bout. Thank you to his opponent for stepping up today, legend. Well done Kiahn Jax won his final today against another classy boy in a great bout to watch. Well done boys and well done Jax winning his 2nd State title. Marley stepped up and challenged the 52kg State champ and probably one of the top kids in the country. In what is always a very competitive and great bout between the 2 boys Cooper edged the decision, well done champ. Marley holds his head high and takes a lot of positives from the challenge bout. Well done Marley taking out your first State title Tomorrow Josh will fight for his first Elite State title, lets go Josh.

18.01.2022 Pee Wee Boxing class is Monday and Wednesday’s 4-4:45pm. Busy class but we now have 2 rings and 2 rooms so the 33 we had today was spread out. Boxing is a great sport for kids and probably the best one to teach them discipline and work values. Boxing demonstrates assurance in addition to developing physical fitness, training instils confidence, motivation and especially self-discipline.

17.01.2022 Hey Team happy New year. I have started back today and am currently cleaning the gym and boxing room waiting for approval to open. I am hoping to have classes back to normal for tomorrow. I will have some answers very soon

16.01.2022 Today Josh boxed in his first Elite state title final after only 9 fights. Unfortunately Josh lost a 3-2 split which has me still scratching my head Josh won 1-2 and lost the 3rd IMO in a great fight. We will take the positives and be much better prepared for the States and Aussies next year. ... Congratulations to Caden and Ricky on your win. Well done boys 5 Gold 1 Silver Great weekend with an amazing team. Thank you to all the parents for the support of all the athletes. Also to our coaches, Connie, Luke & Narf for all your time It’s been a year we will never forget but we made the most of a bad situation and got in as many tournaments as we can. I think BQ have done an amazing job, along with all the R&J. Fabio got to do 8 rounds with the Moloney Brothers today before they jet off to Vegas to fly the Australian flag high In their massive up coming fights. Jason looks to dethrone Naoya Inoue on October 31st and Andrew will be fighting to bring his world title back. It’s been great watching you boys for the last month in the gym and we wish you all the luck in the world

10.01.2022 There’s a new star on the block Congratulations to Tim and his team. I will admit I picked Horn last night thinking it may have been too early for Tim but I was very wrong. He looked a lot bigger and his range, accuracy and body shots were I’d like to say how humbling it is to see Igor succeed in the shadows. This man has coached many top fighters over the years including George Kambosis and many others. You never hear a peep from him, he just lets his boxers take the cre...dit. Definitely one of Australia’s top coaches and one to look up to Jeff Horn well done for bringing boxing back in Australia. You have achieved what 99% dream about and always so humbling in defeat. You’re someone that young boxers can look up to. I know boxers never want to retire but I hope the team around you have your best interests at heart and help you transition Into retirement. You have nothing else to prove and have a young family you can give your time to. Where does Tim go next? I think overseas opponents but because of Covid a fight with Dennis Hogan or Zerrafa would be great for Aus boxing. What are your thoughts?

09.01.2022 A tough night in the office for the team today but will take the positives. Tye weighed in to find out his opponent pulled out which was very unfortunate for him. Marley boxed the best I’ve seen. Defensively he was on and countered well but the judges seen it a different way and he lost a 2-1 split. Very happy with where he is at. A great fight by both boys, very high level and entertaining to watch ... Jada fought a good undefeated boy who only has 1 gear. Unfortunately Jada wasn’t on today. A year out of the ring hasn’t helped but he knows what’s needed in the gym Jax boxed up a weight today and was going for his 10th win in a row. The nerves got to him technically was very off today. A fight I thought he bought home as his opponent gassed but walks away with his first loss. All lessons learnt today, back to the drawing board Monday

04.01.2022 Mornings like today remind me why I am a coach Up at 4:30am to pick the kids up and then headed out to Beaudesert for sparring. A few having their first inter club spars, watching how nervous they’re on the way. Whispering to each other when they spot who they’re sparring then watching them do well. Grass roots boxing is where it’s at Well done to the whole team today. You all sparred very well against very good kids. ... Thank you to Justin and his team at Beaudesert. 03.01.2022 This week we matched 5 to fight but unfortunately we had 2 opponents pull out so Tye and Peter missed out. Marley had a good win against another classy little southpaw. Marley just cruising a little too much today. I think we all knew he had more gears and we will be working on pushing his gas tank more but good work mate Kiahn is only 12 and today boxed a 15 year old and a fight I thought he did enough in. He lost a 2-1 split against an awkward kid but great hit out for K...iahn after 13 months out of the ring. Josh boxed an older kid who was having his first fight so credit to his opponent for stepping up. Josh looked good in a dominant win but plenty to work on. Good work team, back to the grind Monday
