01.01.2022 Fitting foot orthoses (orthotics) into football boots can be a real challenge, due to them being narrow fitting. I recently had a good result with a 55 year old soccer player, who was suffering from chronic plantar heel pain (plantar fasciitis). The patient had foot casts taken, which were then sent with his soccer boots to the orthotic lab that makes all my orthotics. I fitted the patient with a pair of custom made orthoses (see pictures), made specifically for his boots. At... a recent follow up visit, the patient reported he was pain free and that his orthoses were very comfortable If you have difficulty getting foot orthoses to fit into your footwear, I can help!
