We’re calling on sewers and cloth mask makers to make a very real difference in the lives of those in need. As part of that process our awesome Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Ministry team have been facilitating online yarning circles. 13.01.2022 Today we were doing some sorting and came across some wonderful memories from the past. If you attended the Gold Coast Temple Salvation Army around 2002 - 2004 ...you would probably remember Craig Perry. He had a printing business and he wanted to help to link kids and adults in the corps. He created stickers with a photo of soldiers in the corps & a verse. They were collected by the kids, stuck on the cards he made, and once they filed a card the kids would bring them back for a "prize". Just one of the initiatives of the time. See if you remember those on the card. Craig was a big guy, with a big heart, but we lost him far too early. See more

08.01.2022 This morning, following our meeting, a group from Gold Coast Temple Band visited & played to one of our bandsman. Howard has not been enjoying good health recently, and given the Covid situation, we have been unable to catch up with he and Val. It was great to share some music, a cuppa, and some valuable conversation. There is a wonderful bond which you experience from being part of a Salvation Army band. Thanks to Robyn Earnshaw for these photos.
