25.01.2022 This year, UHAD’s Global Health Unzipped conference is running in collaboration with Monash and Melbourne’s Change Conference, to bring you Change x Unzipped. The conference will run in a two-day format, with day 1 in Melbourne and day 2 in Geelong. Change, on Saturday 6th August in Melbourne, will focus on the intersection of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and global health, with incredible speakers and workshops. Global Health Unzipped, on the Sunday 7th Augu...st in Geelong, seeks to empower individuals to take action in global health with speakers and facilitated panel discussions. Global Health Unzipped will feature Dr Stewart Condon (President of MSF (Doctors Without Borders) Australia), Nova Peris (Indigenous advocate, former Senator and athlete) and Dr Lloyd Nash (Chair of Global Ideas) as speakers. We are also having a panel discussion focusing on Volunteerism, War and Unrest on health, and Cultural Competency. The panel will be chaired by Professor Jon Watson Dean of Medicine, and will include Dr Bill Williams (former President of MAPW) and Leigh Mathews (Rethink Orphanages).
