17.01.2022 As many may know, the Gold Coast lost a loving soul from our community last Thursday night when Bikramjeet Singh was taken too soon from us in a tragic motor vehicle accident. In his memory, the attached program will be conducted for him tomorrow (4-Nov). On behalf of the Guru Maneyo Granth Gold Coast Gurdwara and the wider Sikh Community, we pass on our condolences, thoughts and prayers to the family and friends during this difficult time.... All are welcome to attend the program as noted (various locations).

14.01.2022 https://www.mycause.com.au/page/232578/help-us-help-others The Guru Maneyo Granth Gold Coast Gurdwara humbly requests for community assistance to cover the cost of the recently purchased gas burner needed to keep up with the demand for meals needed by those affected by the Coronavirus. The Burner also assists in maintaining social distancing requirements within the kitchen for volunteers.... All donations can be made via the MyCause link shown above, and all amounts are greatly appreciated. Special thanks to the Langar Sewa group who tirelessly come in to cook the meals needed, and have also contributed $1,200 towards this burner. Thanks also to an anonymous donor for their $1,000 contribution.

09.01.2022 Saadh Sangat Ji. Thank you to all those who are contacting us with their support, kind word, love, understanding, and well wishes - especially now understanding the true reasons behind the Gurdwara sale. Although to date the fund-raising has not been to the level required (only approx $400k held in Trust), the Sangat has indicated that by Friday 14-May, they will be in a position to provide all of the following: - Cash unconditional offer of $5.1m plus GST... - $500,000 Deposit - Waiver of Cooling off period - Legal Confirmation of Finance Approval - Legal Confirmation of Balance Funds to complete purchase - Settlement on or before 2-August Once all of the above is submitted, an Ardaas will be done, following which Surjit Singh and Patwant Calais will in person humbly request the Church for forgiveness and to allow us to remain their neighbours by requesting them to cancel the current contract in place, on the understanding that the Sangat will cover any costs that they have incurred in addition to the amount noted above. It has been agreed with the Sangat that if all of the above items are not met, then we will not be approaching the Church, nor will there be any extension in time to achieve the target... and the Gurdwara will unfortunately be sold to the Church. Accordingly, we request all local Gold Coast Sangat, and those near and far, to please now stand together and prove that they truly want to keep the Guru Maneyo Granth Gold Coast in Helenavale. As mentioned yesterday, the sale price only clears the loan amount - it is not a profit making sale, and the reason it was sold to the Church for this amount as well was because it will remain Gods House. Furthermore, the financials from the accountants show how all donations and golak funds received have only covered the operating costs of the Gurdwara to date. Time is of the essence. Let us spread love, not hate nor rumours... as we work together to keep what was always intended for our children.
