21.01.2022 This is a question asked by many parents and for good reason. The best age to start monitoring the teeth and jaws based upon all the governing evidence available is around 7 to 8 years old. This does not mean any treatment will start at this age. So much growth and development happens in children between 7 to 14 years old teeth wise. They loose baby teeth, they grow adult teeth, their wisdom teeth start forming and developing to name a few. A good Orthodontist will moni...tor the teeth and jaws as we do at @gcsmiles and only start treatment when necessary. We also won’t send you for expensive unnecessary treatment such as stainless steel crowns on baby teeth and extractions of baby teeth that are not necessary. As parents we always want what’s best for our kids and sometimes doing nothing until the time is right is a better option both for your child and your pocket. Our teeth can sometimes form in a way that is not what we had hoped for and those straight pearly whites can sometimes seem out of reach.
