11.01.2022 CHLOE EDGES CLOSER TO WORLD TITLE Another momentous win for Chloe Stewart today winning the Blue Ribbon, QLD Club Champion of Champions State Singles 25-14 against Bargara champion Adele Pershouse. She will now proceed to the National title to be held in 2021. If she is clever enough to win this she will then have the opportunity to compete for the World Title. She would dearly love to add a World Title to her already extensive list of titles won thus far. Adele also has a...ccrued many titles over the years She is a current representative of the womens QLD Senior State Side Both girls played the game in great spirits in which was at times in tricky conditions. Ends were equally shared throughout with the difference in score line being Chloe's ability to score multiples in 6 ends as opposed to Adele scoring mulitples in only 2 ends. other than that it was singles all the way. Congratulations to you both. Now Chloe's after a long & successful season you can lay back & chill out. Don't forget to let your hair down for your upcoming 25th birthday celebrations. 11.01.2022 The 2020 Pennant season is done and dusted and what a season it was! With the COVID pandemic looming and so much uncertainty, the season looked like being cancelled altogether. The District ladies were keen to bring players back to the greens, not only for the benefit of the Clubs but also for the well being of the players, so the decision was made to go ahead. With much reshuffling of divisions and players, we managed to provide a viable competition for 150 players. The... games each week were played in great spirit and the finals at Musgrave Hill brought out many spectators cheering for their Clubs. The greens were superb, the sun was shining and the presentations and luncheon after were a fitting finale to a successful season. The trophies on the day were won by Broadbeach Blue (Div 1), Mermaid Beach (Div 3) and Paradise Point Gold (Div 5). However, I think that everyone would agree that bowls was the winner. Thank you to all competitors and Clubs who supported the competition and we look forward to a full field in 2021. See final results below. See more

04.01.2022 Ladders after Rd 2. McKenzie Park had their first win in Division 1 which was a nice birthday present for President, Luchica. Congratulations to the girls for training hard over the past two seasons to reach this milestone. I am sure there were a few celebratory drinks after the game.

04.01.2022 First two rounds of Champion of Club Champion Singles played yesterday at Mudgeeraba. Thanks to the Club for your hospitality and, as always, the great greens. Despite strong winds at times, the girls put on a wonderful display of bowls enjoyed by the many spectators. Thanks to umpire Jan, markers and all those who attended yesterday. Semi finals and final will be played next Sunday starting at 9.00am, so come on down ladies and enjoy good company and good bowls. All the best to finalists.
