25.01.2022 GAMES CANCELLED TONIGHT Miami Aquatic Centre has advised they are closing the pool tonight due to weather. As a result, all games scheduled tonight are cancelled. GCWP will be liaising with the pool regarding the possibility of rescheduling games early next week. Further communications will be distributed next week.

22.01.2022 It was with great sadness that we learnt of the tragic passing of Anthony Karos on Sunday. As treasurer on the GCWP Committee for a number of years, AK was one of the key contributors to setting Gold Coast Water Polo on the path to our current strong position. He was an energetic, caring person who genuinely wanted the best for people and had a positive impact on the lives of many of our current members. His infectious smile and larger than life attitude will be forever missed. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time. If you wish to pay tribute feel free to join the Paddle Out for AK at Currumbin on Saturday 10th April.

09.01.2022 Water Polo Australia (WPA) has today made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 Australian Youth Water Polo Championships (AYWPC) that was scheduled to be h...eld from 7-17 April in Brisbane. Due to a range of factors, including ongoing cases in Queensland, border restrictions that are likely to continue for a period of time requiring isolation and quarantine in some cases upon return, the high number of exposure sites in Brisbane and the health risk to our members, particularly any that are considered vulnerable persons, WPA has deemed it not possible to be able to deliver the AYWPC safely for our whole community. WPA understands the disappointment that will be felt right across the water polo community, but during these COVID times, safety and wellbeing must come first.
