23.01.2022 Hi Gappers, A big thank you to those who helped at Queanbeyan Rodeo this year! The club received a generous $1000 from the Queanbeyan Rodeo committee at its annual dinner. Volunteering at the Queanbeyan Rodeo has been a long tradition of GGPC and despite being a small thank-you dinner hosted this year due to COVID19, the community spirit was still very evident during the presentations. ... The club has struggled to do any fundraising due to COVID19, so we are very thankful to have this donation from Queanbeyan Rodeo!

22.01.2022 Hi Gappers, It is with great disappointment and long consideration the GGPC Committee has made the hard decision to postpone the GGPC Gymkhana again. Due to the rain, once again the neighbours paddock has become unavailable for car parking. Details will be emailed via nominate shortly. We understand how frustrating this must be for competitors. Unfortunately the GGPC grounds is dependent on the neighbours paddock for safe car parking and upholding COVID19 restrictions. The a...mount of rain over the last couple of months (a good story!) has meant soils have remained damp. The weight of floats driving and parking will damage topsoils which long term is not something we want to risk for our neighbour. Our fingers are also crossed our lovely arenas don't get washed out! The committee will reschedule to a November timeframe, dates TBC. Once new dates are promulgated and if you determine you cannot compete, refunds will be organised. Please don't hesitate to email the committee if you have any queries. Kind regards Kylie See more

22.01.2022 Pony Club Australia is developing a new Horse Welfare Policy and we are interested in your thoughts and perspectives. You are invited to get involved in the conversation by completing this survey. https://form.jotform.com/202561426370853

21.01.2022 NOTICE: Please be advised that we have had to postpone our 23rd August Gymkhana to Sunday, 27th September. For any events to occur at GGPC will rely on using our generous neigbour's paddock for parking and it currently has a creek running through it. As you can appreciate 30 odd floats/trucks would damage their paddock and so parking there isn't an option at the moment. Those that entered will be contacted via Nominate, should you require a refund or wish to carry over you...r entry to the 27th. We thank you for your understanding.

20.01.2022 SAVE THE DATE: Zone 16 Camp @ Bungendore Easter Sunday, 4th April to Saturday, 10th April.

19.01.2022 SAVE THE DATE GAPPERS! WORKING BEE, Saturday 19th September 1:30-4pm. Our grounds need some loving post lockdown in preparation for our upcoming Gymkhana. ... Details will be emailed to members

17.01.2022 NOTICE: We have secured another date on the Zone Calendar for our Gymkhana, hopefully 3rd time lucky, Sunday 29th November. We will be emailing all riders who entered shortly and if this date no longer suits we can arrange refunds.

16.01.2022 A friendly reminder our clinic wil be open to zone16 from this Friday! Please remember to enter via nominate to confirm your spot! Last chance Gappers.

10.01.2022 Hi Gappers, Mounted Games training scheduled tomorrow morning is postponed. Unfortunately the grounds is too slippery and wet to conduct training. Apologies for the incovenience. Regards... GGPC Committee See more

08.01.2022 Gymkhana SETUP Saturday from 9am tomorrow, all help appreciated. Home bakes treats for the Gymkhana canteen can be dropped off Saturday or Sunday. A coffee van is coming early Sunday to give us a boost. A reminder that there is no entry on the day for our Gymkhana. Numbers were capped due to corona and all places have been taken. ... See you soon.

08.01.2022 NOTICE: Unfortunately we will be unable to run a show jump grading session this Sunday as the assessment of the arenas cannot be attended to until next week at best. We will be in touch when we can reschedule a suitable day.

08.01.2022 Reminder: Gappers don’t forget to sign up for the inter club Wamboin/GGPC Shield on Sunday 13th September. Entries close on 9th September. Entry is via MyPonyClub, all details were sent to club members. Pony Club uniform rules apply, long sleeve shirt, tie, fawn jodhpurs and jumper.

07.01.2022 NOTICE: Regrettably, again we will be cancelling tomorrow’s rally day. Early inspection today has revealed very soggy grounds and arenas. As you can see a lot of sand needs to be redistributed from the river that has run through. Standby, we will look at what is achievable to reschedule taking into consideration the remediation of the arenas and instructor availability.

06.01.2022 Who is going to the Monaro Shield next weekend? If you are let the club know via email, other club riders are looking to join a team. Entries close tomorrow 5pm, don’t miss out. ... Always a great day of jumping and one of the last events for the year.

06.01.2022 Hi Gapper Families - It's fundraising time COVID19 style! The club has a number of excess poles and showjump wings we plan to auction to GGPC members and broader community later this year in an effort to fundraise for a SJ storage solution. Currently the club's excess poles are in a degraded state and in no condition to auction. What we need from you........... Do you have time to take a set of 3 poles home and paint them the same colours? The club has some paint, but may require you to donate a tin if you have particular colours in mind. You can pick up poles when it suits you. Please just message the club so a committee member can meet you at the grounds (to make sure you take the right ones home). What do you get out of it? Well - to inspire your painting we are running a competition between Gapper families over who has the best showjump coloured poles! A horsey voucher is up for grabs! If you can help us - please email the club so we can arrange for you to take your poles home and paint away!!! We need pole painting completed by end October to run the auction before December (this gives the school holidays to paint your best SJ styled poles).

05.01.2022 Our fingers are crossed we can run this on Sunday!!!
