All the shaking, tapping, singing and drumming we do at GECC's Little Performers @ Play might seem likes lots of noisy fun (and it is!) but it's also helping to develop your child's auditory system, helping build neural pathways that recognise patterns necessary for effective speech and communication. 02.01.2022 We love dressing up and dancing with scarves - they're great for playing peekaboo too! As well as being fun, scarf play improves hand-eye coordination, teaches directional tracking and helps to develop inhibitory control. They're also great for our imagination - our scarves turn us into superheros, Bollywood dancers, kings, queens, pirates and so much more. 01.01.2022 Week 3: Monday 30th April 9:30am - 11am - Ballerina’s Breakfast - Grand Jeté: a jump in which a dancer springs from one foot to land on the other with one leg forward of their body and the other stretched backwards while in the air.... Soooo ......Grand Jeté over to The Playhouse @ GECC for a morning of TuTu Making Fun! Students will have the opportunity to decorate their own Take Home TuTu! Class will begin with our Routine Welcome Songs and Ice Breaker Games! Will then transition into our Imaginative Dance Section. Using Instruments, Props, Music, Acting, Singing and Play Based Instructions we will explore everything Ballet!! The lesson will end by making/ decorating our own TuTu’s! Feel Welcome to Dress up like a Ballerina!! Ms Clare and Miss Tamara xo
