25.01.2022 **Environmental Field Technician**We are currently looking for an experienced Field Technician to join the award winning Gecko team. This Kalgoorlie based position will see you working across the entire Goldfields region and would suit someone who is able to work unsupervised, who is computer literate and possess a degree of hands on mechanical skills. Previous experience with low-flow sampling/traditional purging methods is essential. Your responsibilities will include all ...aspects of environmental monitoring, predominately sampling groundwaters, process waters, potable waters and soils. Demonstrated customer service and communication skills are integral as you will be working closely with the environmental teams on site, suppliers and members of the Gecko team. To be successful in this role you will be based locally, have proven experience in environmental monitoring (ideally in the resources sector) and possess a strong safety approach. In exchange for your expertise you will receive competitive rates, on the job training and work in a dynamic company culture with a supportive team. Working on flexible roster, this role supports a healthy work/ lifestyle balance. Whilst this position is initially offered on a contract basis, it has the potential to increase to a full time permanent role for the right person.
