17.01.2022 Good morning Quench Kids Holiday club is on again today, 9-12 at Glendale Yesterday about 40 kids came along. In the primary section they played games, slurped slushies, made crafts, decorated cookies, sang/danced, watched a play, listened to a bible story, enjoyed morning tea and generally just had fun! A bargain for $5/day! The little children (1-5 year olds) were thoroughly entertained in the crèche section and given morning tea, while the parents got time to relax an...d enjoy coffee and morning tea in the free adjoining cafe. The crèche area is free to attend also!! A local GP gave a short 15 minute talk about medical advice for parents, today a Psychologist will recommend some parenting strategies, and tomorrow a Speech Pathologist will be there! The youth will also be gathering in the afternoons/evenings, check website for details. It’s not too late to join in all the fun!
15.01.2022 Gecko playgroup is pleased to recommence our Wednesday morning gatherings (10-11:30am) in term 4, starting next Wednesday 14 October! This term we will NOT be meeting at the church hall as usual, but at Brickworks Park Wallsend. Throughout the term we also plan to pay the occasional visit to other parks and local kid friendly spots - details will be posted here each week.... This Wednesday, 4th March we will meet at Queens Wharf Newcastle to catch the 10am ferry across to Stockton Wharf playground, at Mitchell Street Stockton. Arrive in Newcastle anytime from 9:30am to grab a coffee before we head across. We’ll be catching the ferry back from Stockton Wharf together at 11:22am. The ferry ride is only 5 minutes each way. ... You will need: an opal card to pay for your ferry rides (important), plus hat, sunscreen, water bottles, and some morning tea for your littlies to have on the outing. Hope to see you there!

12.01.2022 Almost 30 people came along to the Gecko Playgroup Christmas party today! We made Christmas decorations and heard about the real Christmas story. We even had special guests visiting; a shepherd and his sheep, an angel and a little baby in a manger! It was a big week where we farewelled some who will go to school next year, we celebrated a birthday boy (4 today ), and said goodbye to some of the playgroup leaders who have served playgroup so faithfully over many years

It’s a celebration of the Quench week for the whole family; enjoy a slideshow of photos, hear a summary of the week, have fun hanging out and playing with other families! The cost for a child who has attended Quench (at least once) is only $10!! It includes a game of bowling, a game of putt putt and 5 arcade games.
