22.01.2022 A massive thank you to all the G&DGP Kyokushin students and instructors for your support during these Covid times. As we now move back to stage 3 restrictions, it’s even more important for Connewarre, Hamlyn Heights and Teesdale dojo members to continue their own training by what ever means and look forward to returning to their dojos proper in the near future. G&DGP Kyokushin members will be supported by their instructors during the lockdown period and are only a phone call/message away from continued training advice. Take care everyone and please adhere to the Covid specific advice that applies to you.

13.01.2022 TEESDALE DOJO Fantastic effort last night by the Kickstart kids and then the main advanced class. After so long out of the dojo, it was great to be able to spill some Kyokushin sweat on the dojo floor again. Looking forward to being able to build on our return to dojo life with no further covid disruptions.

08.01.2022 10 years ago today with a lot of hard work and dedication and more importantly Shihan Wayne's patient guidance I was permitted to take me Shodan grading. The first Shodan to grade at the Katsumata Centre. The most perfect, surreal day in my life. Sure I may have been the one to turn up to training. Do all the hard work, but it absolutely would not have been possible without the calm, patient guidance and instruction from Shihan Wayne. Luckiest day in my life was to walk ...into a Kyokushin dojo. Such amazing mentors Shihan Wayne, Shihan Ritchie, Shihan Dai Rowan... And so so many others who have been instrumental in my life. Karate is not my hobby or sport, it has become the guiding foundation to all aspects of my life. I am not special or unique, follow and trust your instructors, turn up to training and never, never, ever give up. You cannot imagine the amazing ways your life will change. 05.01.2022 TEESDALE DOJO Many thanks to all the students who attended tonight’s final training session for 2020. It’s certainly been a very challenging year, however, I’m just so fortunate to have students and instructors who have stood by the dojo in thick and thin. Tonight was a fun session and the takeaway message was enjoy the night and look forward to building our Kyokushin skills from the very first session back in 2021. Stay safe everyone, enjoy the festive season break and come back kicking and punching in the new year
