25.01.2022 Big Happy Mothers Day to all the Grasshopper Mums.

24.01.2022 Reminder about the challenge and drill videos need to be in by tomorrow, winners to be announced on the weekend.

23.01.2022 Unfortunately we’re back into lockdown for the next few weeks. We’ll be doing some more drills and challenges with the first challenge to be posted in the coming days. Keep an eye out for the post and again we hope everyone is safe at home during these challenging times.

22.01.2022 What was supposed to be the day for our second Geelong Gaels Youth championships was instead our Internal Games day. We saw our young nippers play both Hurling and Football with our older kids playing football as well. We also saw our fantastic Gaelic 4 Mothers and Others play their first game amongst themselves. Finally we had young Joseph Corcoran shave his head for charity, Joe raised over $4,000 for men's mental health, well done Joe, we're all very proud.

21.01.2022 Hurling challenge 2. Tapping the sliotar while changing the face of the hurl. All the work is been done with the top hand/wrist while the bottom hand is there to hold the weight of the hurl. Keep your eye on the ball at all times. Big thanks to everyone who’s done the drills and challenges. All videos must be in by next Friday and we’ll announce the winners on Saturday or Sunday. Thanks all, Up Geelong.

21.01.2022 John is back with more challenges after a few requests came in over the past few days. Again 30 seconds to see how many you can get but there will be no prizes this time but please get the videos in again so we can how your going. Also a big shout out to all the Grasshoppers who ran yesterday for the Do it for Dan fundraiser, great to see.

20.01.2022 Today’s drill is a high catch and hand pass against a wall. When we go to catch the ball in a game, make sure we catch it at its highest point and leaping off one leg not two. Keep those videos coming in, only a few more drills and challenges left.

19.01.2022 Huge thanks to Kenna, Gil and Neve for their fantastic challenges over the last week. John is back is somewhat of a free style hand passing challenge. Start off with the ball in your right hand, pass the ball around the left leg, back around the right, then hand pass with the right hand, then start with the left hand, pass through the right and left legs and hand pass with the left. Each time the ball hits the wall it’s a point. See how many you can get done in a minute. ... Best of luck.

19.01.2022 Well done to Isabell, Ruby, Pippa, Maeve, Chelsea, Kenna, Keeley and Darcie who represented the Gaels Intermediate ladies team yesterday at the Garryowen 9s. We’re very proud of what they’ve done over the last few years with their dedication to Gaelic and the club itself. Well done girls

19.01.2022 It’s unfortunate that we’re back in lockdown again so we’re going to be doing some more drills and challenges to get us through. So for the first challenge we’re back to kicking and hand passing. Kick with the right foot, catch, hand pass with the right hand, then solo on the left foot around the cone and do the same with the left foot and hand. Do this for one minute and see how many you can get done. ... Remember post the videos so we can see how everyone’s going. Best of luck. Kids GAA Melbourne Inc Kids Gaa Victoria

17.01.2022 Happy Christmas to all our wonderful Grasshoppers out there. We hope Santa was good to you all. We’re looking forward to getting back into action in the new year but we hope you enjoy the break.

15.01.2022 Next drill we have is another kicking one but more kicking with the side of the foot (kicking around the corner). Start with throwing the ball in the air and tapping it with the right hand to the left, then kicking with the left foot. This kick is designed to pass the ball quicker instead of trying to straighten up for the punt kick. No time limit on this as we want to see how you go with the technique of kicking with the side of the foot. ... Best of luck.

Down and back on one side counts as two. ... This challenge is open to all juniors and seniors. Let’s all get involved. Best of luck and well done Kenna for coming up with this challenge.
