20.01.2022 BREAKING: The South Australian Royal Commission has reported and is unequivocal: "The Murray-Darling Basin Royal Commission has found Commonwealth officials co...mmitted gross maladministration, negligence and unlawful actions in drawing up the multi-billion-dollar deal to save Australia's largest river system. Commissioner Bret Walker SC recommended a complete overhaul of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan, including reallocating more water from irrigation to the environment. 14.01.2022 Maybe 1999 at Geelong Fine Art School end of year art exhibition. We were a part time, unfunded art school in Geelong from 1988-2018.

07.01.2022 Geelong Fine Art School was established in 1988 by Geelong artist / teachers Patti Semmler and Robert Drummond and they teach art part time to all members of the community with the youngest students aged about seven years and the older students aged in their mid eighties. For the past 28 years Geelong Fine Art School have staged large end of year art exhibitions and they have also sponsored and staged film nights, art clubs, literary events and artist lectures. Many of the sc...hool's past students ( over 500 in number ) have been kickstarted into 'careers' in the arts throughout Geelong, Australia and overseas- including art teaching, curating, exhibiting artists, designers, fashion, film, theatre, television, festivals, writers, editors, musicians, etc. During the last 28 years, The Geelong Fine Art School has never received any funding and in early 2015 we were obliged to change venues after 22 years at a riverside warehouse. To carry on this tradition in community arts we are fundraising to cover the many costs of moving to a new site and also the costs of building a new art room.

06.01.2022 I remember being in Cairns when I was a teenager and a few of the hippies decided to go swimming in a river. Johnno the blues/ soul singer went swimming to get to the other side where Ruth was naked and drying off. I thought of crocodiles and stayed put on one side of the river, and higher up than usual. Everybody was worried about the Stinging Nettles tree , and the Taipans.
