21.01.2022 The Gaels would like to wish both Grace and James all the best on their travels home. We’d like to thank them both for all the work they’ve done over the years be it, playing, coaching the Grasshoppers, reffing in the summer football, standing behind the bar and bbq, the list goes on. We know how much of a family club we are and lose such great people is all the more sad. We also wish them all the best on their wedding day (whenever that may be).

10.01.2022 Its with great excitement that we can announce our next great program. Gaelic for Mothers and Others initiative is an innovative way to introduce mothers and other women to playing Ladies Gaelic Football. This program has been a fantastic success in Ireland through Ladies Gaelic Football and we hope to do the same here. Due to Covid safe measures we will be running G4M&O at 9am to 945am and Geelong Gaels Grasshoppers from 10am to 11am each Sunday up until Christmas. First se...ssion is on the 11th of October. Please find all the information attached in the letter and poster. Here's a video of how the game has developed over the years in Ireland. https://youtu.be/rUJ3yzZuN3E Huge thanks to Gaelic Football & Hurling Association of Australasia and Gaelic Games Victoria for their great support in helping us set this up.

Our Senior men will take on St Kevin's GAC Melbourne in our first Intermediate Gaelic Games Victoria game for 2021 at RMIT in Bundoora. It will be our first 15 aside game since we played Pearses in the Championship 637 days ago. On the other side of the city our Geelong Gaels Grasshoppers will take part in the inaugural Noel Walsh International Rules Tournament hosted by Kids GAA Melbourne Inc. We wish our teams going up but more importantly Kids GAA Melbourne all the best in brining us what will be a great competition for all the kids. UP THE GAELS

08.01.2022 So today we were set the challenge of 200kms to run/walk for Do it for Dan. Between the Senior Men and Ladies, Geelong Gaels Grasshoppers and their parents plus some of the players partners we got an amazing total of 482.18kms. A truly amazing effort came from Kenna and Gil Nolan as they ran/Walked 25Kms each, well done guys. More importantly Gaelic Games Victoria reached the target for donations for the go fund me. 03.01.2022 Our men headed up to Melbourne today to take on St Kevin's GAC Melbourne in what turned out to be a great game in the end. We got off to a great start with Westmeath man Paddy O’Reilly scoring a goal in the first minute. Some great point scoring and a lucky goal from Mayo man Davy Cattigan saw us up by 8 points mid way through the first half but a goal from Kevin’s brought them back into it. In the end we took a 6 point lead into the 2nd half. As we knew they would Kevin’s c...ame right at us in the second half as they tried to peg back our lead. Gradually they did and with only 5 minutes left we were all square. The game could of gone anyway until up stepped Waterford man Paul Bonzie Power to bury home what turned out to be the winning score. Big shout out to the 7 lads who debuted for the club today, Mark Sheridan, Mark McCarthy, Justin White, Andrew Smith, Jordan Morrissey, Scott Brunnenmeyer and Damian Flood, well done lads. Over on the other side of the city our Geelong Gaels Grasshoppers played in the Noel Walsh International Rules Tournament hosted by Kids GAA Melbourne Inc. 30 young Gaels played some fantastic football in very Irish conditions. They played their hearts out right until the final whistles. Big thanks to the coaches and parents today and throughout the season for their ongoing support of Gaelic Games in Geelong. Next game for our men is the 10th of April as we welcome Pearses down the highway for a home game in Geelong. Up the Gaels

Keep up the soloing as the next Regionals will be on the Gold Coast.
