23.01.2022 Sincere and heartfelt condolences to the Costa family and to the broader Geelong community, who will deeply mourn Frank’s passing. He has been such a huge influence on Geelong over multiple decades and we will feel his legacy for many decades to come. Frank’s generosity and community spirit are as legendary as his business nous and the incredible passion for his footy club the Geelong Cats.... He will be sorely missed as the genuinely nice person I always found him to be.

22.01.2022 The Council is looking for an investor or investors to partner with us in the redevelopment of historic Osborne House in North Geelong. We've allocated $8 million over four years in our draft budget, and we are determined to see this beautiful building brought back to life for the community's enjoyment. 21.01.2022 The north Bellarine's long awaited new pool is getting closer! The Council has endorsed concept plans for a 50-metre outdoor pool at Drysdale Sporting Precinct, and allocated $4.25 million over the next two years in our draft budget. This would take our total contribution to $5.15 million, adding to $10 million from the federal government. A 50-metre outdoor pool will allow for full scale swim training and Learn to Swim programs both essential for increasing water safety a...nd creating surf ready swimmers. We are keenly aware that bus fees are the greatest barrier to learn to swim, so the co-location with the three schools and the central position in Drysdale is perfect. We are also hearing what the community is saying about the need for further facilities and will now look for funding avenues to add other features such as a warm water pool and aqua play in the future. 14.01.2022 Stage 3 restrictions: We are not surprised the Premier has taken this course of action, given the rise in cases across the #G21 region and the high numbers still being seen daily in #Melbourne.
