24.01.2022 Can you imagine not having clothing for your newborn? We cant fathom being unable to fulfill a request to help a family clothe their baby. We never thought wed ever have to ask because weve always had plenty, but the current situation has us in desperate need of baby clothing from size 00000 - 1 for both boys and girls. Do you have any excellent quality, freshly washed baby clothing you could post to us?... Or maybe you could place an online order and have it shipped directly to us at 110 Balliang St, South Geelong VIC 3220? There is also an option for a small fee to have your items couriered to us if youre in Geelong and surrounds (see our website for details).

19.01.2022 The impact of your donations? Last week we were able to support a mother and her young child who needed help because of family violence. They left their home with nothing but the clothes on their back. Thanks to your donations, we were able to quickly support this Mum with not only warm clothes and nappies for her child, but also formula, bottles and a sterilising kit. Without these her child would struggle to survive. She deserves not to have face the unthinkable of choosi...ng between buying nappies and buying food. Thank you for being part of what we do.

18.01.2022 Freshly washed and in great condition clothing donations. We rehome children's clothing in excellent condition from birth to size 16. Please check it is freshly laundered and packed into bags with the size and gender clearly labelled to help us rotate stock as quickly as possible. If clothing or linen has been in storage, it's important that it is washed again before donating to us. If you are not sure whether your clothing donation is suitable or not, a good barometer is wo...uld you give it to the children of a good friend? Our clothing bags are gifts and we want the family who receives the bag to feel that they have a good friend who cares. Thank you for being part of what we do.

16.01.2022 Lovely feedback from a social worker this week who had passed on items to Grandparents who have taken on the care of two young children. Geelong Mums supplied me with clothing, coats, toys and books for these two gorgeous kids. I dropped them off last week and spoke with the Grandfather today. He and his wife were so very grateful for all the goods they received and asked me to pass on their heartfelt thanks. They are are loving the card game and the dinosaur things!

They are inviting primary school aged children to nominate their very own superhero by writing a story or poem, drawing pictures, using photographs or making a video entry to describe why their parent/guardian/grandparent/aunt/uncle/teacher/special person is a Superhero. 15.01.2022 Geelong Mums 12 Days of Christmas. We are preparing for an avalanche of need in the coming months and so we are auctioning items to raise funds for our Christmas appeal. Each day from 1 - 12 December we will be auctioning a prize on our Instagram page, generously donated by our Mother's Day Lunch partners to support vulnerable families. Here's some details of another two of the fabulous items up for bids....... On the seventh day of Christmas you can bid on cabin accommodation on the Great Ocean Road at Lorne, Torquay or Anglesea or try your luck with the eleventh day of Christmas and bid on a king size sage and clare linen pack. All fabulous items, all helping vulnerable families at Christmas.

13.01.2022 Heartfelt thank you to the Grade 4 students from Fyans Park Primary School who worked on their ‘make a difference’ project for Geelong Mums. These thoughtful students managed to raise over $600 for families in need and we can’t thank them enough!

06.01.2022 Can you help us Make a Mother's Day? Pack a toiletry bag with everyday essentials for a mum doing it tough. She might be at risk of homelessness, she might be affected by violence, she might be living in poverty. You can help her feel supported this Mother's Day. Your gift might be the only one she receives.... Choose a nice toiletry bag and fill it with everything you would need if you had nothing. Some ideas include a toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, hair ties, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tampons/pads, sunscreen, body and face moisturiser, cleanser, tissues, deodorant (no razors, sharps or medication please). Take a photo of your toiletry bag and post it on social media with the hashtag #makeamothersday Post it to Geelong Mums at 110 Balliang St, South Geelong or make an appointment online to drop off in person at our warehouse. 05.01.2022 Due to the reintroduction of government lockdown restrictions to minimise the spread of COVID-19, Geelong Mums is once again unable to allow goods donations to be dropped off at our warehouse from Thursday 6 August. However, there are other ways to get your items to us via mail & online delivery. Its a difficult time for Victorians and were certainly seeing this reflected in the number of people seeking help. Sadly, many mums are forced to choose food & bills over basic toiletries for themselves. You have the opportunity to show a mum that they are loved & deserve the essentials that so many of us take for granted. You can participate by:... -Making a financial donation. $50 will support a mum who might be at risk of homelessness, affected by violence, family breakdown or living in poverty. -Booking an appointment to drop in a toiletry bag filled with new & unopened toiletries. -Donating in lieu of a Mother’s Day present for your own mum or special woman in your life. -Organising a get together with your friends & family to fundraise or collect donations.
