22.01.2022 To all our Patrons, in light of the current situation with COVID-19 and in line with the recommendations from the AOMC, and current community / government expectations we have decided to temporarily close the Museum as of today Thursday 19/3/2020 for two weeks until Thursday 2/4/2020. The Board in this period will review the closure dates and update you with any longer-term closures if they arise. This decision is to protect both the physical and mental health of our Patrons as well as our dedicated Volunteers. Please keep checking back on this page for updates. 21.01.2022 Geelong Revival Back on its Traditional Weekend After an unfortunate cancellation in 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Geelong Revival Motorin...g Festival is set to take place on the last weekend of November; its traditional spot on the event calendar. The quarter mile sprint track along Richie Boulevard on Geelong’s picturesque waterfront will roar to life this 26th-28th November as Geelong Revival makes its triumphant return. The event will now be held in the weekend between the F1 Australian Grand Prix and the recently deferred Australian International Airshow giving enthusiasts the opportunity to witness three showcases of incredible feats of engineering in as many weeks. The Geelong Revival Motoring Festival and its predecessor, the Geelong Speed Trials have been a staple of the Geelong community since 1956. Traditionally held on the cusp of summer in the last weekend of November, Geelong Revival is a celebration of the rich motoring history of Geelong, Australia and beyond. The COVID-19 pandemic prevented Geelong Revival from going forward in 2020, however planning is now underway to bring the event back in all its glory for 2021. It’s fantastic to be able to bring Geelong Revival Motoring Festival back in 2021, this year’s event is shaping up to be the best one yet. said Event Director Scott Pigdon. Geelong Revival is a celebration of our history and traditions, so to be able to do that on the event’s traditional weekend just adds to the nostalgia. Accompanying the speed trials along Richie Boulevard will be a host of other displays, activities, entertainment and food, ensuring a fun day out for all members of the family. Geelong Revival Motoring Festival is proud to be a COVID-safe event and is committed to ensuring the safety of all entrants and spectators throughout the course of the weekend.

The SS also received the Calais seats with a blue trim material used to provide a sportier look. The Australian made fuel injected Holden 5.0 Litre V8 was virtually the same as the VN model which produced 165kw and 385nm of torque, but a HSV improved High Output 180kw and 400nm version was available as an option (from early 1992). 09.01.2022 The EB II Ford Falcon was launched in April 1992 which also saw the debut of the Falcon S-XR6 model which was developed by Tickford Engineering, Ford Australia'...s performance partner. Tickford made engine modifications to the cylinder head, cam, valves, valve springs and exhaust system, which increased the power to 161kw/366nm. The suspension also received a re-work with a package of gas shocks, stiffer springs, a larger anti-roll bar, front and rear, which coupled with revised front-end settings made the steering precise and responsive and gave better balance to the handling. Inside there were reshaped sports front seats with velour facings, and were highlighted with red piping, and there was also a leather-trimmed Momo sports steering wheel and gearshift knob. The XR6 was equipped with four wheel disc brakes, which worked in tandem with ABS and 15-inch five-spoke alloy wheels and 205/65R15 Michelin tyres..
