16.01.2022 This ANZAC day, join us in commemorating all Australians and New Zealanders who served and died in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations as well as reflec...ting on the contribution and suffering of all those who have served. ANZAC Day is a very important day for the OMS speciality with the establishment of dedicated Maxillofacial Surgery Units at the outset of the First World War; they were also needed again in the Second World War. These Units were required to repair extensive injuries sustained through gunshots and other war injuries. On behalf of ANZAOMS, we would like to thank all soldiers, both past and present for their bravery and sacrifice.
