An inspection is only permitted where an estate agent and one other person (the person for whom the inspection is organised by private appointment) are present at the premises. REIV Note: This means only two people in the property at any given time.... An inspection where an estate agent, the prospective tenant/purchaser and a resident of the premises are all present is not permitted. It is now mandatory for owners of land where a swimming pool or spa is located to register their pool or spa with the relevant council. Owners are also required to have their safety barriers inspected and to lodge a certificate of barrier compliance with their council. If a safety barrier is not compliant, it is the owners responsibility to make the barrier compliant. Failure to lodge certificate of barrier compliance by date specified can be up to $1,652.20.
