24.01.2022 Looking for an awesome, inclusive winter sport? Come and join us for a run at the Geelong Rugby Club:

19.01.2022 Attention all prospective female players considering Rugby Union, if you’re keen to learn how to tackle properly and safely, this clinic is tailor-made for you:

16.01.2022 Geelong Rugby Club to host the 40th Annual Victorian Emergency Servces Games - Touch Tournament, this Saturday 20th March _____________________________________________ Hey folks, massive weekend for the Club coming up, with not only some of our Rams teams hopefully making it through to the Geelong Touch Associations' Grand Final on Saturday afternoon, and a number also representing Geelong in the Junior State Cup on Sunday, but we are also hosting this event at the Club on Sa...turday. Its going to be a fun, busy weekend of sport! In order to service the event properly on Saturday and our offerings to visiting players associated with Victoria's emergency services (CFA, MFB, Ambulance Vic, Vic Pol, SES, Correctional Services), we desperately need some help...if you're of sound body and mind, have a heart for service and volunteering, can spare an hour, or even two, across the day, please comment below so I can get in touch and explore how you can get involved. Should be a fun day!

11.01.2022 And that's a wrap... So concludes Round 14, the final round, of the Geelong Touch Association's Summer Tournament. It's been a long summer, thankfully devoid of devastating bushfires and contagion! Congratulations to all of the Rams players who have given their all for the duration of the tournament, and those in our Rams community who have played for other teams as well, its been a great competition. This year, the Rams fielded 6 teams across A, B and Family grade, quite t...he effort from a small rugby union club and our supporters in a traditional AFL heartland. A massive shout out to those that have made it through to the finals series that will be played next week: Rams Rugby - Division A finalists, through to semis next Monday (finished 1st on their ladder on 41 points) Rams Dream Team - Family Grade finalists, through to semis next Wednesday (finished 1st on their ladder on 41 points) Geelong Rams White - Family Grade finalists, through to semis next Wednesday (finished 3rd on their ladder on 33 points) absolute nail biter in their final game against the Tigers, where they drew - pundits are claiming its the greatest game of touch ever played at King Lloyd! Well played to all the players in Div B's Rams Rugby Red, who were just squeezed out of the finals, finishing 5th on the ladder with 31 points, and Family Grade's Rams Rugby Red, finishing 10th on the ladder with 25 points. You can all hold your head up high - you played hard each week and importantly provided a great platform for our emerging talent, it was awesome to see our senior players mixing it up with the youngsters and providing that steady hand on the tiller. Finally, a special mention to our young bucks in B-grade's Rams Rugby Black who were destined to play only for the pride and the love of the game - well done boys, it was a tough gig turning up each week and playing as hard and as well as you did for zero points, you would have developed nicely had you been allowed to play in A grade. Thanks to all the parents and supporters who diligently drove their charges to and from King Lloyd Reserve in Newtown, froze on the sidelines, were plagued by mosquitoes when it was warm and provided refreshment and food at home - couldn't do it without you! Thanks too to the Geelong Touch Association for successfully hosting another excellent summer tournament, all the admin behind the scenes and all the referees (who are only human) for their on-field management of the game. So, it's semis next Monday and Wednesday respectively, if you're free, do please come down to King Lloyd Reserve to cheer our players on. Good luck to those proceeding through and "vasbyt" for the knock-out round that will determine the tournament's grand finalists. Go Rams! See more

03.01.2022 Congratulations to our own Brodie Haugh (Rams Rugby A-Div and Rams Dream Team - Family-Div) who has just returned from NSW and Coffs Harbour where he was representing the Open Victorian side in the National Touch League. Whilst the Victorian teams came under heavy fire from the NSW and Queensland crews, they learned heaps and improved substantially across the week. Brodie was awarded "Most Improved Player". Well done Brodie, let's hope your experience can be brought to bear in the Geelong Touch Associations' finals series this week!
