23.01.2022 Geelong Revival Back on its Traditional Weekend After an unfortunate cancellation in 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 Geelong Revival Motoring Festival is set to take place on the last weekend of November; its traditional spot on the event calendar. The quarter mile sprint track along Richie Boulevard on Geelong’s picturesque waterfront will roar to life this 26th-28th November as Geelong Revival makes its triumphant return. The event will now be held in t...he weekend between the F1 Australian Grand Prix and the recently deferred Australian International Airshow giving enthusiasts the opportunity to witness three showcases of incredible feats of engineering in as many weeks. The Geelong Revival Motoring Festival and its predecessor, the Geelong Speed Trials have been a staple of the Geelong community since 1956. Traditionally held on the cusp of summer in the last weekend of November, Geelong Revival is a celebration of the rich motoring history of Geelong, Australia and beyond. The COVID-19 pandemic prevented Geelong Revival from going forward in 2020, however planning is now underway to bring the event back in all its glory for 2021. It’s fantastic to be able to bring Geelong Revival Motoring Festival back in 2021, this year’s event is shaping up to be the best one yet. said Event Director Scott Pigdon. Geelong Revival is a celebration of our history and traditions, so to be able to do that on the event’s traditional weekend just adds to the nostalgia. Accompanying the speed trials along Richie Boulevard will be a host of other displays, activities, entertainment and food, ensuring a fun day out for all members of the family. Geelong Revival Motoring Festival is proud to be a COVID-safe event and is committed to ensuring the safety of all entrants and spectators throughout the course of the weekend.
