14.01.2022 What do they learn in Dance Cirque? Is a question I get often. . . We have 2-3 teachers teaching your class and we break into small groups, work our way through stations. It is offered to our primary and high school students. We also have a preschool Little Monkey’s program. ... Aerial silks Juggling Strength & Flexibility drills (because the stronger and more flexible we are the more we can achieve out of the class and learning) Aerial hoop and hula hooping will also be taught later in the year. We progress through level cards and students work at their own pace. When it’s time to go home it’s often we hear.... awwww is it home time already it only feels like it’s been 10 mins. Our dance cirque classes run for an hour and are jam packed with activities and learning, always learning new skills that will challenge you and give you goals to work towards . We feel like we just stepped back into the studio... where did the time go We couldn’t be prouder of our students and how much they have achieved in 9 weeks. We haven’t had the opportunity to have open week since 2019, due to covid. We are loving parent open week and showing off all our dance moves and skills. ... #grateful . 04.01.2022 A year ago today 23/3/2020 was the day we shut the doors to GSOD due to COVID and we had no idea the journey ahead of us. Our business like many others was impacted, with no financial assistance and no open date, but we knew one thing for sure nothing would stop us from dancing & we weren’t giving up! Our team danced with you in your lounge rooms, 3 weeks in Winter we danced back in our studio... to then be closed again and yep we danced in the GSOD car park for almost 2 mont...hs, It didn’t matter what the year threw at us, we were grateful that we could continue to dance, even if it looked and felt a little different. Then the news we waited all year for, end of October 2020 we moved officially back indoors and oh my what a wonderful day that was. . . 2021 is the year of re-building our business. It’s been a huge adjustment getting back to normal life for children and adults, we spent almost a year teaching from the comfort of our homes a few hours a week. Whilst enjoying hours of Netflix and one too many treats, to jumping back to 13 hour days that consists of teaching, admin and cleaning did I mention cleaning? SO much cleaning. We are so proud of our students determination and efforts during Term 1 to get back into the studio working harder than ever We are so grateful for each morning, afternoon and night we spend in our dance studio, teaching, laughing and dancing and will never take a day open for granted. . . We want to take a minute to thank each and every GSOD family not only for your support, kindness in 2020 but your continued support, you are the reason we are open and continue to do what we love.
