25.01.2022 Well done to Karenni, premieres of GAVA’s 2019 Summer Competition. The grand final saw Karenni take on Mae Surin. Karenni managed to win the match in 3 sets. Set scores: 11 - 25, 23 - 25, 23 - 25. Thank you to all teams who competed in the Summer 2019 competition. ... Details of the new season will be released soon.

23.01.2022 Congratulations to both our Men and Women teams making it to the Gold Medal Match at Volleyball Victoria Country Championships 2019 in Bendigo. Special congratulations to Gabriella Jablonska for being awarded the Referee Encouragement Award. The Mens gold medal match went to 5 sets against Bendigo, unfortunately we just lost in the 5th set 13-15. Leo Lee and Kay Ktoo were awarded the all star sevens trophy... The Womens gold medal match against Sunraysia went to 4 sets, Sunraysia women proving too strong for our women and took the match 3-1. Emma Jarvis and Amanda Yeo were awarded the all stars sevens trophy. Congratulations to both our Men and Women teams coming second this year.

19.01.2022 COVID-19 The current lockdown from 3 Aug 2020 and extending for 6 weeks, as indicated by state authorities, has forced us to postpone any plans to get back on court. At the conclusion of the current lockdown (approx mid September 2020) we will provide more information. Apologies to all that have made inquiries and expressed interest in playing the sport.

16.01.2022 Due to the recent decision by City of Greater Geelong Council to close all sports centres. GAVA is temporarily suspending the competition until 2 April 2020. We will keep you all updated via Facebook closer to 2 April 2020.... We would be grateful if you could spread the message to those who may not have Facebook.
