07.01.2022 There is something real special about the people in our MND community. We would love to say a BIG thank you to Russell and the team who put on two spectacular e...vents a fortnight ago: Tee Off MND and Jen's Bubbles & Brunch are a staple on the calendar and this year they managed to raise just over $20,000! Both events were held at the picturesque Clifton Springs Golf Club and Bistro and everyone who attended (including a number of MND Victoria staff) had a ball. All money raised through these events goes towards the Jenny Simko MND Research Grants, which are awarded on an annual basis to MND researchers through Motor Neurone Disease Research Australia. Thank you to everyone who has supported these great events over the past few years! #MND #ALS #NeverGiveUp

04.01.2022 In the news today! from Motor Neurone Disease Association of Victoria We congratulate all the researchers involved in the identification of an immune pathway that may play a key role in the neuroinflammation seen in MND and present a novel target for developing new treatments. These results came from collaborations between researchers from Walter and Eliza Hall Institute, University of Melbourne, Hudson Institute for Medical Research and The Florey Institute of Neu...roscience and Mental Health. This research was supported by MND Research Australia via the Superball XI MND Research Grant and the Betty Laidlaw MND Research Grant. While a positive step, there is still a long time and a lot of work to go before we can potentially see some real life, positive outcomes. Further details can be obtained on the MND Australia website: https://www.mndaust.asn.au//A-new-inflammatory-pathway-in-
