13.01.2022 Basic egg candling chart. The air sac will expand as the chick develops. This is monitoring moisture levers in a developing egg. It is a good indication that the humidity levels have been correct. Humidity for water fowl is around 75%. Day twenty drop humidity to 55% and monitor air sac level. Raise humidity back up when they start to pip.

10.01.2022 What an incredible sight! Thousands of ducks have been set loose in rice paddies in Thailand for a regular clean-up that benefits rice and duck farmers alike.... The ducks get a free feed, while taking care of pests like cherry snails, apple snails and weeds. They roam the paddies for about five months! Apiwat Chalermklin, the duck breeder in the video, says it reduces his costs to feed the ducks and helps the rice farmers reduce their use of pesticides and chemicals. 07.01.2022 Ready to take more orders for Fertile Chinese brown geese eggs for hatching. Getting a fresh lot of eggs daily. Seems the the rain has been inspirational for the ladies! I have 60 odd goslings hatched so far. Fertility rate and hatchability has been high. With 9 out of 10 for Bruce's clutch, 7 out of 9 for Brenda in the old tank stand and yesterday a 9 out of 9 for Karen in the barrel. Incubator hatch was 16 out of 20.

06.01.2022 First goslings for 2020. The parents are Pilgrim x pied Toulouse. They are over ten years old. I think they have four goslings this year.
