25.01.2022 Now that Sydney and most other large shows have closed, keep your cattle going and bring them to the Gelbvieh Youth Australia, All Breeds Classic! This year we are also hosting the North Coast National Junior Judging Competition. Entries close 1st May, all entries are on the Australian Gelbvieh Website. https://www.gelbvieh.asn.au/event-details.php?eid=17 Just to reassure you also, our Condition of Entry #34 states that we will refund up until the 15th of May, so we will continue to assess the current virus situation.

25.01.2022 It is with great sadness that I announce that the committee of the Gelbvieh Youth Australia: All Breed Classic scheduled for December this year have had to make... the hard choice to cancel the event. The current COVID-19 situation and restrictions in relation to community sporting, unfortunately doesnt allow us to continue. Participants that have already paid will be contacted by Aleacea Nixon committee president to arrange a full refund. There will be a public AGM on Saturday 17th October 2020 at 7pm ADST via Zoom. We would love to see as many people as possible attend. Any questions please feel free to inbox me or contact the commitree President or Secretary Zoe Mackay. See more

19.01.2022 The last profile that we have for you is our Senior Vice-President, Tayla Dawson. I’ve been involved in the Gelbvieh breed for the last two years, since I first attended the camp in 2018 and loved watching it grow as co Vice President in 2019. I attend local camps and shows around the area and have been around cattle and agriculture my entire life and began showing at the start of 2015. I’m really excited to keep learning and growing in this industry and expanding my knowledge on the Gelbvieh breed. I am keen listen and share my ideas with my fellow committee members as Vice President for yet another year and can’t wait for Gelbvieh Youth Australia: all-breeds classic 2020.

10.01.2022 The next profile we have for you is our Junior Vice-President, Nik Charlton. My dad and grandfather started Rivertree Gelbvieh stud in the late 80’s after along time out of the cattle industry I decided to breed my own Gelbvieh cattle and revive the Rivertree prefix back in 2014 with the purchase of my first female who after showing all over the south qld won grand champion Gelbvieh female at Brisbane show 2016 Breeding Gelbvieh cattle is in my blood, I have a passion that... comes from my father who was the Gelbvieh associations second present back in the 90’s. So I decided I would run for a position in the Gelbvieh youth and I was elected as Vice President under the past president Jess Joseph, We worked close together along side Sarah Peters , Ella Anderson , Clint McCarthy and my dad Paul to start the preparation of the first ever Gelbvieh youth camp but unfortunately due to leaving school and heading up north I took a step back but never lost interest in this amazing breed. This year I have been elected as junior Vice President which is a role I am very happy to take on and work with our very new and fresh committee and do my part to try and promote this amazing breed. In the future I hope I can follow in my dads footsteps and take a position as a large rule on the committee and also to work with the old and new breeders to make a difference with our breed.
