17.01.2022 Good afternoon Colac Otway Notice Board Members As many of you know there was a structure fire in Beeac yesterday morning 13/9/20 which we found out was a house... to a family of 7. And in these tough times I wont mention any names as many other people already have but I just thought it be best to respect this family in the tragic circumstances. This is just tragic & heartbreaking for this family & the community of Beeac, luckily they all got out with their lives but lost everything they had & owned. And like so many in our incredible community we are looking at ways to wrap our arms around this family in these tragic & difficult times they will be enduring for sometime. And with the current COVID restrictions etc it can be difficult to know how to support this family but there is currently a Go Fund Me Page set up to raise some money to help get this amazing family back on their feet. It really doesnt matter the size of the donation every little bit helps in these tough & difficult times, its also about showing that we support them in anyway possibly we can as a community & region. On the advice of the Colac Otway Shire Council and in line with the Victorian go...vernments health announcements, all events of over 500 people WILL NOT TAKE PLACE after Monday 16th March 2020 until further notice to reduce the risk of contamination. All vendors, parade participants and entertainers will be receiving confirmation of the cancellation over the next 48 hours. This is the first time in 62 years that Kana has been cancelled. Thieves back...ed a 4x4 tray ute smashing through the rollerdoor and making off with a Honda Quick Fill pump, Honda Generator, Gurni pressure washer, orange CFA hand held radio, Arlec battery charger & a 40cm flat screen TV. Keep on the look out for anyone trying to offload these goods, any information on these scum to Colac Police would be appreciated. Fortunately the truck was undamaged and we remain operational.
