06.01.2022 A blast from the past during the first Cross Country race of the Mountainbike National Series in 1992 on a very technical course in Canberra. I was able to lead for all but the last lap on a frame, suspension fork, stem and bar-ends which were all of my making. I'd won the Downhill race the day before on the same bike, which was still possible then. This experience is still useful in my framebuilding; frame tubing stiffness, chainstay length, stiffness versus suppleness, bottom-bracket height.

04.01.2022 A design that I’ve been refining over the last few months is now heading here in the mail! Stay tuned for testing of these laser-sintered stainless-steel braze-ons. It will be interesting to see if this material lends itself to use in a supple bike frame, which is far more difficult to execute successfully than a stiff frame.

02.01.2022 Plenty Gorge-north trails are now my favourite in Victoria, after 40k’s of challenging riding today. Thanks to Plenty Gorge MTB and others for these fantastic trails. The bike was designed for this sort of riding and really performed, so it looks like it’s time to give it a coat of paint!
