25.01.2022 To our Gembrook Vet Clinic community: Well business as usual was shortlived, with the Victorian government today issuing a shutdown of non essential services. The Australian Veterinary Association is currently lobbying the government to make sure Veterinary services are listed as essential, but rest assured we are working to put in place a system that will still allow us to treat your sick pets, whilst keeping our staff and you, the public, safe. We may suspend non urgent pro...cedures such as vaccinations and desexings at this time. If you already have something booked in we will contact you to reschedule and make sure everythings ok with your pet. As things are changing rapidly we will endeavor to keep you up to date with our changing services. We wont let you down so no need to panic! Thank you for understanding , The Team at Gembrook Vet. 24.01.2022 COVID-19 Update: Presently we are business as usual here at Gembrook Vet Clinic! To continue to do our best to protect our team and our clients we would ask the following; 1. Please avoid attendance if you are unwell... 2. If you have a pet emergency during this time but are unwell, please call us on 59681888 to discuss the best way for us to ensure your pet receives the best care available 3.We have increased our disinfection measures within the clinic, and any staff who have symptoms of a cold, or who has been in close contact with someone ill, will be excluded from working until they have medical clearance. 4.Hand sanitizers are available at the front desk 5.Tom has initiated a toilet paper payment plan ;) This will help us protect our clients and staff to keep everyone safe. Thanks guys, stay sensible!

07.01.2022 STAGE 4 LOCKDOWN UPDATE As we are classed as an essential service, Gembrook Veterinary Clinic is absolutely committed to providing necessary care to all of our wonderful patients. To do this we have implemented a COVIDSAFE plan as required by DHHS. There are a few changes to note for stage 4 restrictions in our area. Animal health care is considered essential and allows you to travel further than the 5km from your home to your regular veterinary clinic.... The clinic will remain OPEN, but please do not just drop in for a chat. All consultations are by appointment only, please call us on 59681888 to book. Keep your distance. Many consultations are able to be completed over the phone, if you do need to come into the clinic, please call once you have arrived and we can assist you from there. We live to see your smiling faces, but please wear a face covering when visiting. It wont be forever. And while were at it please use the sanitiser at the front door . We will also be temperature checking everyone who enters the building and are required to take your contact details if you stay for more than 15 minutes. Medication, Food & over the counter products are still available as usual. Please call ahead of time to have these items put aside for you and we can arrange a contactless pickup. If you have been in contact with anyone with COVID-19 or have ANY relevant symptoms please let us know on the phone and we will work something out to provide the care you need. please be patient with us as we get used to this new routine. 01.01.2022 As in the previous lockdown, we are still open for business! Vets are considered essential and the Australian Veterinary Association has stated that you may travel more than 5km from your house for veterinary care or to collect supplies from a clinic. As is the case with shopping and other essential travel, only one person per household should be attending (plus children if they cant be left unattended at home). We will update you on further measures as soon as possible. Take care everyone xx

01.01.2022 In these trying times, I think we could all use something to brighten our day - thank you to our client Jo for sending me this awesome picture of her Llama, Boy! Enjoy!
