25.01.2022 Eastern Queensland and North East NSW - please ensure you have taken all precautions with another round of wild storms set to hit later today. With a lot of communities still cleaning up from Sunday’s destructive storms there is sure to be a lot of excess debris laying around. Be safe

23.01.2022 With the Bureau of Meteorology officially declaring that the La Nina phase has started, it's a timely reminder to check your insurance policies to make sure you are covered adequately going forward - particularly if you are located on the Northern and Eastern side of the country. If you are unsure of what impact La Nina will have on the weather behaviour we've attached a handy article below full of information that may help with any questions

18.01.2022 I often have the conversation with business owners that as an absolute bare minimum they should have at LEAST a fire extinguisher & fire blanket onsite and most of the time numerous other fire mitigation and containment measures are recommended. It is becoming increasingly important that along with the standard smoke detectors we should be adding fire extinguishers & fire blankets to our HOME protection kit if not already present. The below is an interesting read where a Television on Standby (not a deep fryer, candle or heater) was the cause of a house fire that was thankfully contained thanks to being prepared.

05.01.2022 With business owners starting to feel the impact of Coronavirus in one way or another, the question comes up regarding insurance is this something that your policies will cover you for? 02.01.2022 As quite a lot of you may already be aware - I have been deeply involved assisting Amusement operators Australia Wide with Insurance over the past 20 years - what is unfolding is truly heartbreaking for this industry that soley rely on shows, fetes, carnivals, corporate and private events exclusively for their income ... all of which have been cancelling as far as 6 months in advance. They have families, they have loans on equipment purchased for these events that are now ca...ncelling, they have registrations, Insurance’s and mortgages and zero income for the foreseeable future. I sincerely hope that these business owners are considered for government assistance otherwise I fear that COVID-19 spells the end for the vast majority of these operations - some of which are 6th generation and beyond ... In hope that this reaches people in positions able to assist - I encourage you to share the below post by Tyrone Miller if you are a lover of the smiles and laughter these Showmen have brought to you and your family in the past and want to experience them again in the future
