25.01.2022 I find it’s very important to socialise your dogs to other dog regularly to reduce attacks and fights with other dogs. Buddy was terrible with other dogs as he thought he was a top dog till I started introducing him to other dogs while I was supervising him . Let your dog/s meet other dogs on your walks!

25.01.2022 I try to feed my dogs healthy dinner and treats, they love it! For dinner I give them cooked brown rice, beef mince (or any other mince that is on special but would cook chicken first), cooked vegetables (I use frozen peas, corn & carrots) that I blend up in my NutriBullet with a touch of olive oil or grated carrots & zucchini, egg and dry dog biscuits. 19.01.2022 I had a dog in my teen years named Pepper who use to sit on behind the saddle while we were cattle droving as the ground was full of catheads! She was mixed breed with blue cattle dog, kelpie and I think she did had some border collie cross as well. The funny thing was the horse I had at that time (Father Wayne) was not used to stock whips cracking, he had slip of water while me & Pepper was on his back the stockman cracked the whip, Father Wayne jumped for his life on to the deep water channel with me & Pepper on the back, I survived but poor Pepper was thrown off!! Pepper refused to get back on that horse afterwards so she just coped with the catheads instead! My father still think it was the funniest thing he has ever saw while cattle mustering.

19.01.2022 First one to catch Reggie out partying gets a reward! He still hasn’t come home since restrictions lifted on Friday. Let’s hope his keeping that 1.5m rule with whoever his with. we’re all missing him so much

17.01.2022 My pet Buddy loves the new pet crate I got to train my dogs use it as safe haven to sleep in, take it to visit friends/family/pet sitting or hide out. He’s enjoying hiding in it (he was very happy for me to close the door) so the other pets won’t steal his toy. This crate is an extra large size from Kmart for $59, I’ll be using it to train them to sleep indoors so I can have them (both pets & crate) inside away from the cold weather, away from storms, to stop them barking outside at night or take them on holidays to pet friendly accommodation (bonus points!!). If you get one to start training your pets message me if you would like some tips in training them to use it. Happy pets Gem

15.01.2022 Always check if the area is off leash area before letting your dogs go crazy under Council’s sprinklers. I was issued a letter from Council regarding 2 wondering dogs, I only just dropped the leashes as I didn’t want to get my hearing aids wet when they were pulling me hard to run under the sprinklers...

10.01.2022 He has found a home You know what would be amazing during this quarantine? Are you a bit bored and need some company? A little red cattle dog puppy is exactl...y what you need. He will ensure you’re not bored. He is compact (atm), he has a stumpy tail and a patch on one eye. More reasons to need him in your life? - Your ute will never be broken into - He will look good on your ute - His parents work cattle - I am told chicks dig puppies (secretly guys do to) He will be vaccinated and microchipped and available after the 4th April. If you need a best mate for the decade and guaranteed to assist through this time of lock up let me know.
