23.01.2022 Among the oldest families of flowers on earth, dating back 300 million years, Greek legend tells us that the flower proteas were named after Proteus, the son of Poseidon. A sea god who had the power to know all things past, present and future, Proteus was defiant and to deter those seeking his insights, he would change his shape at will, and it's said that the protea flower was named after him because it, too, presents itself in an astounding variety of shapes, sizes, hues and textures to make up more than 1,400 varieties. With its mythological associations to change and transformation, it’s not surprising that in the language of flowers, protea symbolises diversity and courage.

16.01.2022 She is kind but strong, and that is where so many mistake her. They interpret her kindness for weakness and yet it has always been her great strength and one of her most beautiful traits.

15.01.2022 Another commission for Christmas, #oneline art for this lovely new family framed and wrapped, perfect gift for new mummas

15.01.2022 The practice of grounding myself is important (especially to avoid a burnout), but it doesn't come natural to me. I have a busy mind and I enjoy a reasonably busy life too. Grounding myself helps me stay conscious in the present moment. Rather than chasing what's next, or living a step forward in the future all the time. To ground myself first allows me to move forward with present moment awareness and engaged intent. This enables responses from creativity and intuitively d...riven, rather than reacting in habitual ways. Art has been such an immediately grounding tool for me, to be soaked up in the moment over and over again it's like active meditation!

02.01.2022 What brings you joy? Maybe we should be focusing more on creating a list of that, than just a list of things to achieve..
