17.01.2022 Thanks to the Motor Museum of Western Australia for showing off our electric muscle cars at the Trillion Trees Envirofest. With so many amazing historic cars on display, ranging from Motorsport to utility and saloons, it’s the perfect place to learn about automotive history, check out some eye candy and meet some of the very knowledgeable volunteers who keep the cars in tip top shape. Even a Detroit Electric which still runs perfectly today !

06.01.2022 The City of Bunbury comes alive to the roar of Targa West Events GT Fabrication Targa Bunbury Sprint in 4 weeks time. There’ll be a few grudge matches in the season’s last chance to earn critical Targa Cup points. With no speed restrictions, Jurgen & Helen Lunsmann driving Jon Edward’s #Greentheme Tesla M3P+ will be taking on the Open Class around the Halifax Industrial area.... In the City of Albany earlier in March #Greentheme ran 2nd for most of the day up Mt Clarence, before falling back to 7th on the last run. Bunbury is a whole different ballgame with short sharp town streets, similar to Ellenbrook and Malaga. With a packed field of 120 entrants, this will be the event to watch and see how a stock standard electric car handles street racing against some of WA’s best cars and drivers. 04.01.2022 While Gemtek EV Racing is the name that is on the entry form, and owner of the Tesla Roadster which competed in 2018/19, we can not take credit for the most recent 2020 success of the M3P+ win. Jurgen & Helen Lunsmann and Jon Edwards have been responsible for successfully winning Targa South West and Targa West in 2020. Jon Edwards has single handedly supplied the service vehicles, Hyundai Kona, charging generators & DC chargers, and has been the backstop and underwriter to ...the 2020 campaign. What started in 2016 as a community engagement initiative with Joseph Law entering his BMW i3x codriven by Alex Butler, and Jon Edwards’ BMW i3 invitational 1 day participation in 2017, supported by Gemtek Group as charging partner & GTi Racing WA as service partner, grew to The Electric Targa Tour with 4 private & dealership cars in the tour class at Targa South West in 2018. From here, the Gemtek Roadster entry in 2018/19 was the first serious attempt to try to take on the Targa130 class for non-rollcage cars, with the establishment of the first CAMS EV Subclass through the support of Ross Tapper at Targa West Events. On completion of the 2018/19 campaign at the Targa Bunbury Sprint, the decision was made by Jon to enter the Tesla Model 3, and from that moment Jon & Jurgen have been the driving force behind the team. Jon has worked tirelessly to purchase & build generator coupled DC chargers to support the car, and we have provided equipment & electrical and software support for the Tritium, Delta, Schneider Electric & ABB chargers used during events. While we have been the communications platform, instigators and beginnings to the team and continuously work to attain sponsors and to use Motorsport to develop offgrid charging systems & engage a broader audience with Electric Vehicles, full credit for the 2020 win rests with Jon Edwards and the driving (and vehicle preparation) team, Jurgen and Helen Lunsmann, who have supported us since 2016. Full credit also goes to the Targa Tour & City Sprint participants who raced in 2020. There are also many organisations, service & charging volunteers and sponsors who have made the 5 year journey and under Jon’s management & investment, the 2020 campaign possible. We would again like to thank all of the sponsors including Western Power, the Motor Trade Association of Western Australia - MTA WA, IMR Technologies, the Tesla Community in Western Australia, AEVA Australian Electric Vehicle Association, Talison Lithium, MSP Engineering Pty Ltd and NECA WA for supporting us since 2018.
