25.01.2022 An elderly woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot wa...s perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water.. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do. After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream. 'I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.' The old woman smiled, 'Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?' 'That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them.' For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.' Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them. SO, to all of my cracked pot friends, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path!

22.01.2022 DAILY BLESSING / GRATEFULNESS Blessed today for my lovely Jade who has really stepped up and become a responsible young lady now shes moved into secondary school. She is being super organised with everything, packing her lunch the night before and even cooking delicious snacks. Shes out at the bus 10 minutes early and confidently stepping forward with all the changes in her life.

21.01.2022 DAILY BLESSING / GRATEFULNESS Blessed today to have survived the first full week of kids back to school. Changed routines, activity days, tired kids not used to getting up. We are gradually sorting out our new routine for the term.

21.01.2022 DOUBLE DAILY BLESSING / GRATEFULNESS Phone flat last night - took these kids to the carnival last night, they loved every moment and I loved Rubys outfit! Today I was blessed to find the new Koroit Barber who did an awesome job of Jeds hair.

09.01.2022 DAILY BLESSING / GRATEFULNESS Blessed today (I think) that Jade managed to grab the feral kitten thats been getting into our shed. I now have one very wild kitten in the bathroom and one proud but sore daughter. The kitten didnt understand she was grabbing it with the best intentions and bit and scratched her. Hopefully this one will settle down as well as past kittens have.

08.01.2022 DAILY BLESSING / GRATEFULNESS Update - she is also in the medley relay swimming fly. Blessed today to hear that Jade got through to Divisional swimming in backstroke, freestyle, butterfly and freestyle relay. Bring on Friday week!

08.01.2022 DAILY BLESSING / GRATEFULNESS Blessed today that the surgeon was happy with Jades hand. She got to go back to camp and is allowed to compete in the swimming tomorrow wearing waterproof dressings.

06.01.2022 DAILY BLESSING / GRATEFULNESS Blessed today to enjoy a live show at a friends house with the fabulous Jeff Martin. Caught up with friends and enjoyed some terrific music in a relaxed way.

05.01.2022 DAILY BLESSING / GRATEFULNESS Blessed today that Jade had her first babysitting job. I asked her to watch a students daughter at work today, she did this for most of the day and the student very kindly paid her. Jade has decided little kids arent that bad!
