10.01.2022 Get to know an inspiring youth with exceptional linguistic intelligence - Amanda Gorman, the youngest inaugural poet after delivering her poem "The Hill We Climb" at the Capitol in front of US President-elect Joe Biden, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris and the entire country. Linguistic Intelligence is the ability to understand and express oneself effectively through speech and written word. Gorman is the USA's First Youth Poet Laureate at the age of 19 and at the age of 16... was Youth Poet Laureate of Los Angeles, California. "I had a speech impediment. 09.01.2022 Generation HOPE pays tribute to a World-class avant-garde Hollywood fashion designer ROCKY GATHERCOLE who passed away on the 3rd March 2020. His 2019 Fashion Show with Miss World Australia State Finals 2019 featured Children/Youth Artist/Models who guested Generation HOPE. They were DJ Jazzy ( producer, singer, songwriter, dancer/choreographer, photographer and filmmaker), Samantha Porsha Pepic, Ysabella Beatrice Alfonso, Ava da Silva, Aliza Kamara, Aurora McEvoy, Cameron Marsh, Maria Hall, Lily Mary Hawkings and Seeyan Ricardo J-Lo Nikki Minaj, Britney Spears, Kate Perry, Tyra Banks and Paris Hilton were among the Hollywood A-listers who wore his creations. He trains at the Industry Performing Arts and has performed in various events, concerts, fashion showcase and dance competitions. From the 15th to 23rd August, Australian achievements and capabilities in Science are being celebrate nationwide. This week-long celebration aims to increase community awareness and understanding of the role of science, engineering, technology and innovation in maintaining and improving our society, economy and the environment. Generation HOPE is thrilled to feature... 3 local siblings Michael, Bethany and Amelia in our Science Week celebration broadcast. Let us get to know each of them and be inspired on their journey of exploring the wonderful world of Science. Michael is 15 year old science enthusiast who has engaged in various science fairs, activities, competition and assessments which included the Science Program Exciting Children Through Research Activities (Spectra), International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS), Opportunity Class (OC) Science Fair, REACH and RACI, among others. Michael has a growing interest in chemistry and health science. Bethany is a 12 year old who has always loved science. In addition to seeing Brian Cox speak when he was in Sydney, she has been to a number of astrology talks and stargazing from Wollongong to Port Macquarie to Coonabarabran and as far as Uluru. Bethany loves the idea of a Goldilocks planet and adored seeing pictures and learning about new discoveries in space. 9 year old Amelia adores science and history. She loves doing science workshops and experiments. According to Amelia, the bigger the bang and the bigger the mess, the better the experiment. This is why her favourite science experiments are launching water rockets using air pressure and the Mentos and coke experiment. Generation HOPE will also name a few ways to nurture scientific thinking of our 21st century children from investing in scientific 'magic' like a good magnifying glass, magnet or funnel to collecting garden items such as twigs odd-shaped pebbles and leaves Our Hornsby Shire libraries will have Science on Spotlight this week.
