19.01.2022 Haven’t posted for a while as this happened. After my little big stack on the mountain bike I was trying to pretend that my knee was fine and that surely it would get better soon. Well it has not gotten better not at all. In fact because I continued to walk / limp around on it and did not keep it still or elevated it has gotten worse. So alas after a week I am now wearing this attractive accessory awaiting an MRI. I have a suspected meniscus tear and maybe some cartilage da...mage thrown in for good measure. Back when I was working at @generalmotors I was sent to live in Adelaide for 12 months on a development assignment. I took the leap and moved by myself and I knew no one.... Enter this dirtbag. We have been inseparable ever since, except she now lives in Amsterdam and I miss her terribly. The lesson here is that friendship is just one random conversation or chance encounter away. You just need to be open and let it in. This same rule applies to business. I have met people on airplanes that have become clients. My local nail salon became a client after we were chatting about what I do. 10.01.2022 Have you ever thought about your beliefs around money and how these impact your approach to your wealth? Think about this, the way you grew up and your family values around money will likely play a huge role in how you view financial abundance or lack thereof. For me, I grew up in a very traditional, working-class family. My dad was a tradie and my mum stayed at home to care for us. We always had "just enough to get by", we were not rich,... but not poor either but my parents didn't save or invest. My Dad always use to say that rich people were "wankers" so this meant I associated wealth with being a bad person. This belief stayed with me for many years and impacted me negatively in so many ways when it comes to money. You see unconsciously I did not want to be one of those rich people as I thought that my family would reject me. So like many of us in our 30's I would spend more than I earned, had massive credit card debt even though I earned a six-figure salary and I also harboured the belief that I would always just have enough and guess what I always did. But I only had "Just enough". You see I was living in the mindset of lack which meant that I was not focusing on having abundance or wealth. I obviously needed to make some change, so here is what I did to overcome this... I did the inner work to shift my beliefs around money I started using a budget and paid off all my debt I stopped buying stuff that I could not afford on credit I started manifesting money and abundance every day using mantras and journaling I started focusing on the numbers in my business and set financial goals and targets and stuck to them I now live in abundance and money flows to me effortlessly and easily! #money #wealth #investing #biztips #moneytips #lifehacks #moneymindset #millennials #mindset See more
