24.01.2022 Melton Hospital Report: The Former Premier of Victoria, Steve Bracks successfully launched the report for the future Melton Hospital. Research and analysis by W...oMEDA, has found that the hospital could create 375 new jobs during construction and 3825 ongoing jobs during operation. It will also add $300m to the local economy by 2035. The Melton Hospital is one of the transformative projects outlined in the North & West Melbourne City Deal and LeadWest will continue to support the City of Melton in achieving the completion of such an important institution. But demand is so high that at any point in time there are around 120 families awaiting urgent support services and this list will only grow! 16.01.2022 Did you know? Out West were growing by a Geelong-sized city every ten years until 2050. By then well have nearly 1.8 million people, which will be over 20% of Melbournes population. When you think about it like that, it seems crazy that governments arent lining up to give us the money for a new approach to health and social support services for those of us that arent as well as off as wed like to be. Every child and family should have the same opportunity to thrive.

15.01.2022 Becoming a parent is a life changing experience and new parents need support to adjust to this crazy new life. We need First 1000 Days Supporters in our neighbourhoods so that pregnant and new mothers have a safe and local place to come for help in raising their babies and toddlers. That happened to Darshi from Point Cook twice in two months, having to drive all the way to Sunshine Hospital because there were no facilities close to home. 09.01.2022 Kids dont always like going to the dentist, thats for sure. But whats worse? Being hospitalised due to tooth decay! Tooth decay is the highest cause of preventable hospitalisation of children in Victoria and federal funding for national dental services for children is in doubt after 2019! Thats why its vital we secure dental services and equipment for children in Melbournes West now. We love a healthy smile!

Our Westie families are raising the biggest generation of kids Melbourne has ever seen! The only problem is that the government is not exactly on the ball with making sure theres enough services to help our newest generation thrive.
