23.01.2022 My web workshop programs in May - via zoom - feature all things to do with stencilling, including ideas you probably didn't think stencils could be used for. You'll learn how to use our own Stencil Burner, designed for us with assistance from an electrical engineer and approved to Australian electrical standards. I'll teach you how to design your own stencils from images and photos, making your creative projects exclusively yours. Workshops are on Sunday afternoons, Tuesday afternoons, and Wednesday mornings and run for about an hour. Check my website for full details.

23.01.2022 Traditional Silk Painting originated in Southern Europe over 500 years ago. We take this beautiful art and make it simple for everyone to enjoy using our Liquid Radiance colours and unique resists (known as 'gutta' in silk talk.) No steaming. No messy chemicals for fixing the designs. Just a quick iron when your work of art is dry, and it's done!

22.01.2022 Easter is almost over - hope you've had a Happy one! After some down time, I've been busy doing more recordings for my YouTube workshops. They'll be live soon! Playing with salt for amazing effects in part of the Advanced Web Workshop series. How about checking into my sessions via Zoom so we can get together live. Those session will start again in May, both Introductory topics, and Advanced. Phone or email me to book. NOTE: When designing using salt, RINSING THE SALT OUT is VITAL! Minimum of three rinses will remove the saltiness and you won't end up with a messy ironing board or - worse still - salt through the workings of your sewing machine !!! I LOOOVE working with salts - and sugars - but I am anal about the rinsing process, and recommend that you are particular about that too.

18.01.2022 Woo Hoo! New website has just gone live, and with all its new features, I hope you love it as much as I do. And thought I'd show you my latest shirt - spray painted using 'mega marbles'. [Technique from Web Workshop Intro session 2.] Hope you like my array of knickers - coloured to match various outfits of course - in the background. Not on my mailing list to receive 'the latest' news? PLEASE send me an email address - or phone me. Facebook is fun and a great way to get information 'out there', but not my best means of keeping in touch. Some of you will have already found THAT out!

14.01.2022 Check out just a few of the things we'll be doing during the six week Introductory Workshops program.

14.01.2022 Eleven more sleeps and we'll be back in action with our WEB WORKSHOPS via Zoom. What a month April has been: updated website www.genesiscreations.com.au - get in there and have a look at the new Ed Centre especially, with videos, links to resources, and heaps more. YouTube is up and running too, with recordings of our web wshops from Feb and March this year. Lots more to do on that in July, when our videographer comes back from his gig with filming for Survivor Outback. Jo...in in the workshops 'from afar' or locally. All sessions are FREE to attend. Email to register: [email protected]. With students 'coming' from all over Australia and New Zealand, as well as from Trinidad and Tobago, we're having a wonderful time in small-ish groups of between 10 and 15 students. Get to know your classmates, and some geography along the way. Learn HEAPS and discuss your own projects with me. See more

13.01.2022 Here we go on a wild ride of more fabric designing fun together! Web workshops have started for the year - both Introductory workshops and Advanced programs. Silk painting sessions are next, starting on 14th March. Check my website for full details of these workshops via Zoom. REGISTRATION is essential. Contact me to let me know you are interested in attending.

11.01.2022 My FREE Introductory Web Workshops were a huge success last year, so that's why I'm running them again. This year we welcome participants from every state and territory in Australia (except Tasmania - come on Tassie girls, get involved !!!) There are also ladies from both North and South Islands in New Zealand, and three really keen girls coming from Trinidad and Tobago, checking in the evening before their time for my 10 am Wednesday session. Workshops are held with a ma...ximum of fifteen people in each group so I can get to KNOW you and help you personally with your creativity. That's my style. It's fun to be able to interact with your classmates too. We start with a 'getting to know each other' time before the workshop officially gets under way. Then after the presentation of skills and demonstrations - the learning bit - everyone is invited to witch audios back on to ask questions or talk about anything from the program (or anything else they might want to ask.) There are seven 1 hour workshops in the Introductory Course. Support notes are emailed to participants before each workshop, and special offers JUST FOR PARTICIPANTS are available each month of the program. After completing the Introductory sessions, you can continue with my Advanced course, where we explore the topics in details, and really get to enjoy some spectacular fabric designing! Yes it's FREE too. So ... jump on board with me and learn how safe and simple our skills are ... and how much FUN !!!!!

02.01.2022 Back in action at GICS today. First workshop at 10 am is 'Socks' - but just a great way to colour ANY fabric simply and safely; then Hand Marbling at 2 pm. Sure I'm doing papers - quick to do in the time available - but the technique can of course be done on fabrics too.
